Oh, they get PLENTY of stimulation. This is part of the "Fish School" program, where they have volunteers socialize them for several hours a day. That can include blowing bubbles or other games, in addition to the fascination people provide. In fact, keepers are careful not to have the chicks get overstimulated and train the volunteers in proper interaction. And being babies, they do sleep a lot, too.

Cute things but BOY that pen should be a little more stimulating for them don't you think? Grey walls, grey floor... poor wee mites :(
