    I know this is a very late response, but there are many foods that are acidic before consumption that, when metabolized, become alkaline in the blood. For example, oranges are acidic, but it alkalizes the blood once it becomes digested.

  • Alkaline Water can't substitute for eating properly, it does help a lot if we have very poor eating habits. We need different kinds of veggies to add and replace minerals that the body can't make. The best way to receive these minerals is from plants, especially from our veggies and fruits. Plant minerals are 98 to 100% absorption rate by the body. So, if your diet is mainly starches and or meat which are two big enemies of the body. Starches produces carbonic acid and meats produces uric acid.

  • Drinking Alkaline water is the fastest and best way to neutralize these acids by putting bicarbonates in the blood. Bicaronates are the alkaline buffers that neutralize excess acids in the blood; they dissolve solid acid wastes into liquid form. As they neutralize the solid acidic wastes, extra carbon dioxide is released, which is discharged through the lungs.

  • Fish, white onions, and yellow onions are acid but red onions are alkaline which I used in some of the dishes in book. The fish dish is under Transitional foods section in the cookbook, for people who cant quit the flesh eating thing cold turkey.

    Dr.Sebi was one of the first and one of the best dealing with this subject.

    im looking for a way to find a list of alkaline foods, but i cant find one online that seems right. i found one unoffical looking one that listed carrots as alkaline (contrary to what sebi has said) and it even listed some natural grains as acidic. do you know of any relaible place to find a good list of foods that are alkaline? if so id appreciate it

  • yeah that is hard to find online. also there is the issue of how a body acts with these substances. like a lemon is very acidic but it acts as an alkaline, it alkalizes your body. so maybe there are foods that are truly alkaline, but act as an acid inside the body. does your book takcle this, do you have an opinion on this concept?

  • I know what your talking about and thinking and it could be confusing at first, ok lemons are acid and should not be used, lemons are hybrids and at some point was invented. Now the part when you said that some foods are acid but becomes alkaline when you eat them are only citrus fruits because the juices contains high quantity citric acid when you test them, but all of the original Citrus fruits become alkaline once you eat them like (Key limes, Pomelo, and mandarin oranges, etc).

  • You don't know anything about alkalinity or alkaline foods. This is why your skin is sagging, you don't have any elasticity in your skin and too much gray hair; this is caused by an acid diet. Lack of minerals in your acid foods causes malnutrition. You have been misled and you lack proper mineral intake by eating RAW starchy vegetables. Alkaline Foods is the only way.

  • i read the side comments and it is a view i have not come across but it makes some sense. i try to look at the acid measurements of foods, it is not easy to find for everything though,. and they sometimes conflict. even foods in your video some claim are on the acid side (the fish and onions)

    i also hear that some acidic foods act as an alkaline when ingested. what do you know about this?

    also have you heard of dr. sebi, what do you think about h is perspective?

  • Thanks for your comment. It's true that this could be the 1st or 2nd time you might of heard this, this way, the only person who speak and teach alkalinity this way is Dr. Sebi. One reason is because most are new jacks in the alkaline acid way of living and they all just repeat each other with out true research and understanding, you see it's extremely hard to totally eat and drink alkaline foods and water, even though I know people who do.

  • But with most people it seems impossible, so the 80, 20 rule was developed without using science. As you can see above yes, I have heard of Dr.Sebi and I use to distribute his products for a long time, until I developed my own. This is the reason why I made the cookbook because clients would always ask me how to prepare the foods on the alkaline food list that I past out.
