Get the application called Live Focus, it's a script that enables you to focus and toggle LED light while making a video. You might need to enable repositories in the catalog. Google it. \:D/
No, it's correct. The idea is that you select to which point the camera focuses and the device handles the rest automatically rather than you having to do it manually with a slider.. Bad thing is that you cannot change the focus-point after you started recording. But this also is a thing one software upgrade can fix. Still, this is a great feature.
which has the best quality sound recording of the sony ericson satio the N900 or the motorola droid and that everyone has the ability to ACC sterio to 48khz?
the n900 is not released yet... he should have mentioned that it is a pre-release version, therefore some features are not tuned up completely
also this is why battery life is unknown
What I do know is that it has the highest resolution 800X480 (there are also several models with this resolution) 3.5 in display, resistive touchscreen
the phone is released on late October or early November
So, is this a feature? I can see how it can be good in some rare occasions. But, can it be turned off? I mean, does it normally do continuous autofocus? I had fixed autofocus (half way press at movie start) on my IXUS and it is really bad compared to continuous autofocus. For every day use it's even worse than fix focus.
It's the same as the iPhone's video autofocus. It focuses at the start of the video, then remains fixed for the duration of the video. It won't focus again until you stop recording and start recording again.
This is a feature?? No, since N900 won't support continuous autofocusing it's NOT a feature. It's just bad. And it doen't mind that there are other phones out there that do focusing like N900.
I already bought N900, but this is just BAD. Hope it's just a software problem...
@vezkov I also first thought it was able do change the focus on the fly while recording, too bad that isn't the case. But the phone is overwhelming enough as it is ^^.
quick question regarding the auto focus. Is it possible to switch between macro mode and normal mode while you are filming without stopping or pausing the video?
it's pre-focus

Not sure whether you were saying autofocus or out of focus... obviously there was no "autofocus" so I assume you were saying "out of focus"

eEvery second word "it's "autofocus", well it can't change the focus, while making the video. So - what's new you're saying?!
vezkov 2 years ago 4
I think a few of the times he said 'its out of focus'.
