It actually removes the code specifically referring to people making their own money or counterfeiting as the legal term is called. @armanarmadillo Well, he explains that you can use other currencies. You have a choice in what to use, be it gold or silver as currency. The Fed is a private bank anyway, it would make no difference besides that it would have competition from other currencies. Also, I don't drive a Prius but I care about the environment too. HR4248 sec. 2) states that the law making the dollar legal tender will be repealed thereby making it illegal for the Federal Reserve bank or for that matter any government agency to issue money, legal tender call it what you like.
Remember the government can't do anything without a law saying they can do so, and therefor the government can't issue money if HR4248 was adopted.

@armanarmadillo Yeah you have to go look up United States Code title 18 sec. 486 and 489 to find out what it actually means, and those sections are about people not being allowed to print or coin their own money. I might ass the entire section 4 of HR4248 is unconstitutional because as you may recall the Constitution specifically states in Art. 1 sec. 8 the only Congress shall have the power to coin money.

I wish a 3rd party could rise and maintain, but the only thing Dems and Rep. seem to compromise on is getting 3rd parties out. That being said, I am a liberal that will most likely be voting for Paul whether he runs on a rep. ticket or not.

Unless the whole country wakes up tomorrow and denounces both the two party system and electoral college, Ron Paul will fare much better as a republican than an independent and Jesse Ventura ought to know that. Jesse is so authentic. He voted for Ralph Nader despite the fact that his own views are more "conservative" than Nader's. One might think it's difficult to spot an honest politician, but it really isn't that difficult. They answer questions honestly without evading the issue. I think Jesse is being somewhat stubborn here not supporting Ron Paul, even though he knows Ron Paul is a good honest person and even wrote a book dedicated to Ron Paul, so I know he supports him overall, but he won't endorse or vote for him just because he's a Republican? It actually removes the code specifically referring to people making their own money or counterfeiting as the legal term is called. The Fed is a private bank anyway, it would make no difference besides that it would have competition from other currencies. Also, I don't drive a Prius but I care about the environment too. Oil spills are bad, who can argue? The problem is that people don't care. It's a generation of apathetic people who just want to live their lives. It's dumb.

HR4248 sec. 2) states that the law making the dollar legal tender will be repealed thereby making it illegal for the Federal Reserve bank or for that matter any government agency to issue money, legal tender call it what you like.
Remember the government can't do anything without a law saying they can do so, and therefor the government can't issue money if HR4248 was adopted.

I might ass the entire section 4 of HR4248 is unconstitutional because as you may recall the Constitution specifically states in Art. 1 sec. 8 the only Congress shall have the power to coin money.

Unless the whole country wakes up tomorrow and denounces both the two party system and electoral college, Ron Paul will fare much better as a republican than an independent and Jesse Ventura ought to know that. He's just being stubborn. I don't like the two party system either, but I think Ron Paul is of sound judgement and well above outside influence. Who knows, he may even be the man to fix our dated system and shift the balance of power back to the people.

i love JV, but that's just dumb not to vote for Ron Paul if he runs republican. It's not like he's gunna run the white house any different than if he was a third party candidate. I can see why Jesse wants a different option, but picking Ron in the primaries IS the different option. And who knows, maybe after his first term, he'll run in a third party just to give it publicity.

@C00Ltuber Actually, it's not dumb to reject Ron Paul if the Texas congressman run for, and wins the nominations as, a Republican. Former Minnesota Gov. Jesse Ventura is making the following point: both parties are corrupt, and an individual politician running for elected office in either party cannot be divorced from the powerful factions of a major political party.

BTW, many of us also voted for Ralph Nader, in part, because he was a completely independent candidate. I can NOT support Ron Paul if he runs as a Republican either.

Normally that would make sense, but these days if you align yourself with a party, you MUST vote that party's agenda or you won't get any campaign contributions for re-election, especially in the Kochsucker Bros Republican Party. Look at all the freshman (R)s in the House who were forced to ride the party line on the Ryan budget and are now whining about the Dems holding them accountable for their vote to go along with it

Jesse needs to get over this 'Republicrats' are evil mindset. He's RIGHT in thinking that many of them are bipartisan stooges but he's WRONG by giving his vote away when Ron Paul would put it to better use. Traditional Republicans were Jeffersonians, small government constitutionalists. Ron Paul is a Republican because he is fighting to drag the Republican name out of the mud and give it real meaning again, and Jesse needs to understand this and change his way of thinking.

I agree, Jesse takes that part a little to far. He has that philosophy and no matter how strict a constitutionalist a Republican or Democrat might be, he won't vote for him/her which at the end of the day is just semantics. I agree with that 95% of the time but there are exceptions like Dr. Paul, and he is certainly worthy of support even if he was to run on the Socialist Party :p

Ralf Nader is more than "kinda cool" ... he has been a brainiac supporter for human/Animal rights for his WHOLE LIFE!!! However, he didnt fit the bill of "american hero" and the US peops have basically been ignoring him.

Maybe Jesse should quit being so stubborn about the two parties and inform himself on the person he's going to vote for before he gets to the polls. @AlexJones2012 Yeah, that was my question that was cut off in this video. I asked him what his thoughts on Geo-Engineering and Chemtrails were, and if he'd consider devoting an episode to Chemtrails on his show next season. He told me he'd been hearing a lot about Chemtrails lately and said Californians seemed to be the most vocal to him about it. He couldn't guarantee an episode, but he'll see what he can do. I would vote for Jesse if he ran for President, there are some of his views that I do question. For example legalizing prostitution and him saying that people are born gay but honestly that stuff is small to me. Jesse would have my vote because he doesn't bullshit around and isn't afraid to ask questions. Everything he says about the government is true. They lie all the time and they do cover things up.

I like Jesse but two things I don't agree with are his support of UHC, not the bill just passed, but a full blown UHC and his lack of having an exception for Ron Paul.... It's quite obvious that Ron is an Independent who resides in the Republican Party to get on the ballot.... Ron doesn't say one thing then do another, and has the voting record to prove it.... I disagree with his absolutism....

Somehow, through all of this garbage, most of us still believe in America. Jesse Ventura (Janos) and his brother Jan, and I still have this belief.
