It's a matter of melanin, and NOTHING more. Some of our ancestors moved out of Africa and went North, and over generations we lost melanin because we needed more sunlight for our bodies to make Vitamin D. In 2007 James Watson (scientist given the Nobel Prize for co-discovering the structure of DNA & head of America's leading scientific research institution) pointed out that all manner of testing today indicates African intelligence to be significantly lower than that of Europeans. @VileIntentionsUS Genetic diversity WITHIN so-called racial groups is far greater than the genetic differences BETWEEN them. But actually, the uniformity of DNA thoughout all living organisms is quite amazing. Genetic reseach has given us a lot to think about. But IQ studies of racial groups, not so much. Examples: self-identified groups of blacks score below hispanics, next whites, but then come asians, higher than whites, and jews, who score, as a group, higher than all the others. Implies...?

@myopinionoftheworld 1) the "Native Americans" were not a nation nor a collective, the term refers to numerous nomadic, warring tribes which roamed the continent; the lands of which none of the opposing groups claimed to own. 2) if you then base this belief that the continent should belong to any of them due to being there first, you should be aware modern findings suggest the earliest American settlers were actually European, with DNA matching the genetic ancestors of the Russians & the French.

You make a strong arguement, but I was mostly regarding the Nazi methodology of selective breeding, where they wanted to create a nation consisting of only people with blond hair and blue eyes. Not all Europeans have these traits.

I wouldn't go so far as to say Europeans are the most diverse, because genetically, American Indians are more diverse. At least that is what I have read.

However, you seem to be assuming that all Native Americans look alike. Which is untrue. Native Americans do get light brown hair, some black. Northern Indians are generally taller than those furthur south. South American Indians don't look very similar to North American.

Only a few generations of restricted gene pool has developed genetic childhood diseases utterly unknown in the general population. Outbreeding is the best way to preserve a healthy species.
