Being a Christian myself I also (as some earlier commenter) thought this is just emotional crap ... but I then realized that in fact all these sayings are really based on corresponding passages in the Bible ... so then it's not JUST emotions but appropriate emotions in response to a true reality as revealed in the message to us from the Creator

Seems like a composition like this helps us see the fantastic Person behind the scriptures ... since we so easily forget what is actually written there!

Thought of what it means that a book of 66 writings written over a period of possibly 1600 years show such an astoninshing internal consistency?! That is, in addition to it's amazing consistency with reality (if you hunt down the hard facts of what we really know ... not getting swiped away by philosophies without foundation in observations, like large scale evolution, where the only arguments, like homology, are based on assuming the philosophy in the first place.

The Bible is quite clear about what is men's words, and what are God's.

Reg. "only way" there's a juridical problem; Sins must be paid at some point, & it has only been done in Jesus' death.

Yes, some people, like Abraham, trusted that God would somehow provide for him (not relying on own righteousness), and for this was counted righteous ... But if we, having seen the solution happen in history, reject it, who can then save us? (God doesn't force salvation upon us!)

The stong thing with this video is that the words are quite what's written in the Bible, and so, as far as we can trust the Bible (and I say we can if we test it's trustworthiness in talking about historic reality) these words tell wonderful things about the intentions of the One who created us. That makes it strong.

Reg. being Christian from of being brought up with it, that tells nothing about it's being true or not, and so is a meaningless argument. Instead test if the message is trustworthy

"The most important one" Jesus answered, "is this: hear, oh Israel, the Lord our God, the Lord is one"

He's pleading to Israel to listen that the Lord our God is the greatest.

Mark 12:29 yes jesus calls the father God because as i explained he put himself as a slave and under the law so he can take the punishment of our sins ..

Jesus says he is the only way to the Father. Either that is true or not. If it is true, then saying that there are other ways is to lie (and for you and me, that it is a question of life and death!).

But otherwise, why don't you take all the statements about historic reality that the Bible refers to, and go out in reality and see if it is trustworthy? (But seek honestly, because there are lots of people and writers out there who doesn't have the slightest interest in truth).

Everyone is sinful. No one is exempt. Because God is a Holy and pure God, he cannot just ignore sins without any payment. That's basically what your asking, why can't he just forgive without any punishments? In fact, we should have been the one on that cross paying for OUR OWN SINS. But God loves us so much that he sent His son Jesus, to die in our stead so that we wouldn't have to pay that price.

I had the same experience like MrNilcarl the difference is, I happen to accidentally open this way back when I was in high school and I can say that It changed my life. I was already a big believer of the father, but I never thought of him the way the letter reveals him to be. a loving father, who only wishes to be with us, no matter what becomes of us. we we're the ones who have placed the wall on how we understand God, this letter however opened us to a new understanding of who he really is.
