Even in countries considered advanced, they frequently die painful, excruciating, horrible deaths. The suffering they experience in less developed countries is far worse. So you'll excuse me if I feel that a cat who seems to actually enjoy briefly touching a flame with its paw and is experiencing no pain or distress is not something people need to get upset over.
