  • I love how most Grateful Dead videos have none dislikes :)

  • @2:30 on Bobby's music stand, on the left, there appears to be a 2nd generation iPod (black). (?)

  • @sugapablo Korg Guitar Tuner.

  • Awesome!!!-!

  • NO matter how bad of a mood or day I am having when I see Jerry my heart is immediately warmed. I miss him, what a bright light. When he smiled it seemed the universe smiled with him.

  • Acid + this song = happy time

  • every time I see jerry i get teary-eyed

  • This should be the Worlds anthem song.

  • My eldest daughter's womb song...this particular take always makes me smile...Jerry's smile is contagious...he looks great.

  • I can sing this whole song over and over and never get tired of it...jam it in ma truck and people give the thumbs up everytime....wish I could see 'em like I did close up at "the highest dead show on earth"[Boreal Ridge] Tahoe,Calif.

  • god i miss jerry and the boys

  • American Graffiti was always my favourite Dead album. 27 years ago I used to put my baby son (not a good sleeper) to sleep dancing to this song. Must have heard it thousands of times and still love it :)

  • Hard to believe Jerry has been gone gone 15 years now :(

  • Reckoning - one of the truly great live albums

  • Sadly miss these guys. Was lucky to grow up with the coolest bands and song writers, miss the great concerts up on the hill at Pine Knob back in the day when you could bring your own cooler! They'll never make music as good as it was around the Woodstock era.

  • thankyou~ love this ~ love you~peace and happy sunshiney days

  • I will never stop smoking weed to this song as long as I live.

  • @NickxdaxQuick thats sad that you need weed to enjoy the dead

  • @pchriste21 did I say that asshole?

  • @pchriste21 Don't be a square, marijuana was a key part of followers of the dead. Sure the songs fantastic on its own, but when you add marijuana to the mix you really feel every note... And that's pretty cool...

  • @1NickDelle1 hahaha that's exactly how i would describe it! I can feel every note!

  • @pchriste21 Don't hate on people douche bag, everyone has the right to do their own thing.

  • This beautiful song just runs through my soul like a gentle flowing stream and leaves me with such a peaceful feeling. Thanks Dead.

  • I just saw the dead at the Gorge. Anyone else go to the show?

  • Is it just me or is Weir's strumming inconsistent with the rhythm guitar I hear?

  • I dont know, dont reaally care, let there be songs to fill the air.

  • thres probly a little lag in the video

  • I don't know; don't really care. (Sorry ... I couldn't resist.)

  • Happy 420 Jerry, Your still the man.

  • I think this is a Robert Hunter song.

  • I didn't think you were correct about that notion, but after some research you were entirely. Written in London by Robert Hunter 1970.

  • If I remember the legend correctly, Hunter sat down with a case of wine and wrote "Brokedown Palace", "To Lay Me Down", and "Ripple", in the same afternoon. Must have been a hell of a vintage.

  • You are perfectly correct 11kaj. Bob was in London at that time, and his father had died. The Dead as a band were in a bad way at that time, being, in more ways than one " Uncle Tom's band."

Ripple is a truly amazing work.

  • Thanks for the music Jerry. You are missed.

  • One of the most beautiful songs ever. Really a hymn.

  • i agree, it is a hymn.

  • This is a wonderful version of the song. Thanx for sharing. Love, Khataroo

  • if my words did GLOW !!!!!

  • Great version! From the film "Dead Ahead" - released in 1981, but the live recording is from Fall 1980.

  • I wish Brent would have played the acoustic piano on a regular basis

  • Ya that would have been cool

  • damn i love this song....doesnt get anybetter
