FYI: Nuclear winter is an atmospheric condition. It can(could) occur with absolutely no relation to atomic power or weapons, but the most common foreseen cause is a large nuclear explosion. A part of COD4 is set in Chernobyl, in the near future. This is one of the things that actaully pulled me into doing more research, lets face it humans are curious, expecially when we hear something like, whoa theres an abandoned country? Actually most people don't know. Have you ever seen those national quizes that are taken in each major city in the US? Ya, unfortuantly, 69% didn't know what ocean touched California. P.S. Mt. St. Helens inital blast caused more sq.ft. blast damage, not actual aftermath damage. People in Finland and Sweden got radiation fallout from that event. The total damage was much worst than Helens, and the area will be unusable for long time. People moved back to Helens within the year it happened.
