Is that place called Worcester? It must be named after the English region. Heaps of their names are like that. I think they break it down differently. I'm Australian and I would have thought it was Wor-ces-ter if my parents weren't British. They say it like "Worce-ster" and "Leice-ster" (or Lester in today's age). Really strange and always interested me. Didn't know the Yankees copied the names' pronunciations.
