@uprower73 u shouldn't need a capacitor for this subs they r very low powered they shouldn't even effect ur cars electrical system at all! And just match ur rms wattage of the subs to the rms of an amp and ill be good!

I have an xpload 10" in my s10 and it sounds great-the base is clean (not all distorted)- also the power is there, when I have my head unit at about 20 (goes up to 50) it rattles my tailgate-so don't talk s#%\ about Sony subs--plus the 10" goes great with a rockford fosgate punch series ported box(that's what I have for mine) perfect match

It's a capacitor. It 'saves' charge from your battery to power the amp during a big punch to keep your headlights and other electronics from being choked out by a large amp and system.

Ok well I got two 12" xplodes with a 760 watt amp pushin 350 rms and it pounds pretty damn good. now Once I put a 600rms amp on there I will Be poundin hard. So F it sony xplodes are a great great system for a person with not so much cash to spend.

Xlpod with sound lol, They handle power pretty well, I throw 400 watts at the older models ( 150w RMS) Daily and they don't even warm up, i wouldn't hesitate to try 1000w a piece :D

Sony Xplods are Budget woofers and do well for the Money...but if you have more to spend i would definetly step up to something like Alpine,JBL,JL,Infinity and Such...they will Preform better.

People can say whatever they want about Sony Xplod, but I love it. Especially compared to the Dual system I had previously. I currently am using four 5 1/4" speakers, and the amount of bass they put out for their size is amazing. I do plan on getting subs as soon as I fix my door locks, but in the mean time, the tiny little speakers I have are more than satisfactory. Don't listen to the haters, if you want a cheap system that sounds good, go for Xplod.
Actually I use Sony explodes (2 12's) and they have lasted me for months with a 1000 watt amp on each one and they are the loudest subs I have had even comparing them to subs with a name explodes won Idk why everyone says they suck when they have been loud for me.

@GaYpRiiDe09 I'll tell ya, they last about a week, and no they dont hit as hard as 2 12 comps you numbnutts, the only reason you would think they hit harder is because you don't know anything about sound system and base everything off what the speakers says it can handle, I'm sure my 2 10 JBL with only 600 watts for both hits harder and cleaner than your sounds.

Ok well I got two 12" xplodes with a 760 watt amp pushin 350 rms and it pounds pretty damn good. now Once I put a 600rms amp on there I will Be poundin hard. So F it sony xplodes are a great great system for a person with not so much cash to spend.

I have a Sony 1200 watt amp powering my 12" copms while I'm waiting for my 400 watt kicker amp to come in the mail. I was basically saying how I thought its funny that sony way over rates their amps. @feetchermancj yea i hate to break it you and all sony haters out there but they dont overrate their amps, contrary to popular hater belief. All sony amps are CEA-2006 Compliant. They are rated with the same standards as kicker, jl, mtx, etc

Xlpod with sound lol, They handle power pretty well, I throw 400 watts at the older models ( 150w RMS) Daily and they don't even warm up, i wouldn't hesitate to try 1000w a piece :D

Sony Xplods are Budget woofers and do well for the Money...but if you have more to spend i would definetly step up to something like Alpine,JBL,JL,Infinity and Such...they will Preform better.

People can say whatever they want about Sony Xplod, but I love it. Especially compared to the Dual system I had previously. I currently am using four 5 1/4" speakers, and the amount of bass they put out for their size is amazing. I do plan on getting subs as soon as I fix my door locks, but in the mean time, the tiny little speakers I have are more than satisfactory. Don't listen to the haters, if you want a cheap system that sounds good, go for Xplod.

Actually I use Sony explodes (2 12's) and they have lasted me for months with a 1000 watt amp on each one and they are the loudest subs I have had even comparing them to subs with a name explodes won Idk why everyone says they suck when they have been loud for me.
