MCR can't hold a candle to Pink Floyd or the smashing pumpkins for that matter if anything the smashing pumpkins could. I've never seen them live but judging by the videos they are not this generations Pink Floyd. There a good band in general but not Pink Floyd good.

i totally went to that concert...julien k was amazing even though they have no albums out, him's sign was turned around backwards and the sound screwed up with them, mcr was pretty beastly with fire, and linkin park was just...outstanding. they performed breaking the habit even if it is too technologically enhanced to play in concert.
