Sorry for late reply. Glad to be of help. NC is not so bad though. They do honor Domestic Partnerships which, I am in my partner of four years. They just refuse to call it marriage. Atleast we have legal rights. I met a group called Triangle Women of Color and they have discussion groups about this. NC Pride is informative, try to attend. Chapel Hill have a gay mayor and gay elected officials. They are trying.

GayTeens, Prop 8 is a marriage bill that California passed and recently they withdrew it. According to them the ones who got married are still married, but they have no legal rights concerning their partners. They can no longer get married. The bill is on the table for revote. Lets hope they pass it.
