I find it safer skating in the road than on the pavement, because most car drivers are at least paying some attention to what's going on around them.
Pedestrians, on the other hand, seem to wander about in a semi-dream state nowadays, faces glued to their smartphones. Even when they do occasionally glance up, it's usually in a totally different direction to the one they're moving in.
And when they walk into you, they tell YOU to look where YOU'RE going o_0
et ben!! t'es pas un peu carrément barge? en tout cas c'est digne d'une séquence de" taxi"... et rapide, ça c'est sûr... t'es passé de profil le long du poids-lourd bleu?
@MrRavAndTheFools you might not believe me but I am not actually taking much risks at all there. Looks more hardcore than it is. and unlike you, I can control myself whilst on skates. I understand your point of vue of course.
@bant3r you might find that they are no law restricting the use of public road by inline skaters in the UK.
Before you say anything about not having paid a road tax, you should know that I skate on the road, but also cycle, drive a motorbike, a car and a van on regular basis.
As long as everyone respects everyone else and people are in control of their vehicle (mode of transport) then things are sweet. If you were one of the cars I passed I am sorry I got to my home long before you did. hehehe!
@bant3r Why? I am the same speed as a bike. Very little CO2 come out of me unless I have had a Currey! Most of the time I can keep up with or are faster than the cars in London! Also unlike you I know the law and have talked to the police about skating on the road. You need to try it before saying NO!

@bant3r Of course skaters have a right to use the public highway in the UK, as does everyone else. And on insisting cyclists respect the highway code, fair enough, but that's ignoring the elephant in the room, being the much more dangerous drivers who very often don't respect the highway code either, much more often than cyclists.
Yeah Baby ........

@skuddyflip : Pour le poids-lourd je passe normal mais je me pousse un peu pour guarder de la vitesse avec ma main droite contre le camion.

Have you ever run into the police whilst doing this?
ziiik0 5 months ago
@ziiik0 yes many times, and they have no problem with skaters on the road. Probably because there is nothing illegal about skating on the road.

What a pillock. It's like he wants to get squashed by a Car or Bus.

@SkateFit1 That's what everyone says till a car or bus decides to pull out on you...then reality really sets in.

Because its not a skate park!? Cyclists I do not mind if they respect the highway code. Skaters have NO place on our roads. NO PLACE.

@bant3r what the hell are you talking about, it's obvious this guy does 5 minutes over a stretch where CARS would take 30 minutes or more.
If anything, CARS have no place on our roads.
