We are the parents of 8 children and have, soon to be, 3 grandchildren. First of all "We are at the gun range." sounds like they WERE in a safe environment. Second, what exactly did you believe was unsafe? The kids were well behind the parents, they were aiming in the air at the skeets...really, where were they "stupid".

In this instance, I honestly think that they were being cautious and safe. It is not irrelevant that the children and dog were behind them. Boy launching the clay targets ,who as seen in the video, slips and misdirects one of the targets, hits Poppatard in the face/head ,resulting in Poppatard falling backwards discharging the firearm in any un intended direction.

Kids and dogs don't usually remain in one spot for long. sure they're are behind the them at one stage but while concentrating more on making a video and clowning around they could move anywhere .
