i did security freeze before and I couldnt even look up my acct online. they said i had to send in id,bill, etc. and they would send me a copy of report but then they tried to charge me. i ended up having to unfreeze. once i get my student loan junk paid i will REFREEZE it for a long time

thanks for the great information. about close to two years ago i paid a debt from a collector. I did look into my credit report and it said that i paid it, however i don't think it impact my score as much. i was told within two years that it will be removed. is that true?  thanks TonyaTko

Thanks for the video TonyaTKO. I have a question regarding student loans. I haven't paid my student loans for quite awhile and the company that loaned me the money has posted it as a negative in my report. Well now a debt collection agency bought the debt from the loan company and i want to know if i paid the debt collection agency back in full, how would i get the student loan company to take the negative report off of my credit report?

How long has this other company had your debt? Is it possible to get the student loan comapany to take it back? In terms of re-payment you need to already know what you need to do and who's going to take off what from where and when... GET someone to put this in writing!

if you pay for a delete with a junk debt buyer the original creditor's tradeline on ur report will remain, unless u deal with them directly. this may be true with a credit agency as well depending on if the tradeline is assigned or purchased. California residents before you pay for delete make sure the date of last payment was not more the 4 years ago, & if you pay for delete you need an accord of satisfaction not just a simple ltr.

Hey Tonya..I am employed as a Debt Recovery Specialist. A lot of what you say is Gospel truth. Americans would be shocked at how often creditors are abusing our ignorance. They made more than 45 billion dollars last year on fees alone, NOT including interest rates fees. My best advice..challenge EVERYTHING on your report. If they cant prove it in 30 days..it has to be removed!!

Only legal counsel can send out cease and desist orders. AND, only collection agencies have to comply. A creditor can call you several times a day between the hours of 8AM and 9PM.

hey sorry what you telling people to do is run from there bad decisons.....are you fannie mae or freddie mac certified probably not tellin people to beat the system the best way to improve your credit is time and to establish new tradelines.... and first of all you dont pay your old debt back if its over 3 to 4 years depending on what it is it can be a judgement i agree with somethings she says but exploit the system she aint trying to get where you need to be

What do you need to know...

Dealing "With Cash" is not necessarily a good thing. You have to show credit history in order to have credit. People need to know how responsible you are, and a strictly cash person shows creditors that you don't trust yourself with credit. Remember the old adage "Its better to have it and not need it, than to need it and NOT have it."
