  • awesome im a lefty too leftys rock

  • great lesson up until 5:00 or so. tough to figure out if you're a noob like me!

  • Is it because of the sync problem or because i am not clear enough?? Just for my info for future lessons :)

  • @voodooriders hey voodo- your video has great explanation of what strings to play and on what fret. But as many of the videos do- the person either gets in a hurry or board of showing what to do and they short cut the ends. Around the 5 min mark you stop saying which string and fret to play- which you realize and state as shortcutting the listener in the video.

thanks for taking the time and showing us.

  • Ahh OK sorry about that :) I will make sure i take no more short cuts ;)

  • @voodooriders hahaha thanks

  • Lol yeah the video is a mirror image, i forgot to change it when i uploaded the video, a few left handed people said it is very helpful to help them learn because of the way the guitar is! Sorry that it makes it more difficult for you :)

  • í don like because you are southpaw

  • But i am not a southpaw ;)

  • @voodooriders really??because you are play with right hand and you pick with the left hand.....no matter your lesson is very good but to me is little different see that...i lose with the strings with the frets...is normal ..i think

  • your voice sounds a little like ville valo from him :-)

  • dude your voice sounds a little bit like ville valo :-)

  • whered u learn to play?

  • If you mean where did i learn this song, i stumbled across a part of it when i was messing around, then figured the rest out pretty much, i did refer to a video for a bit i couldn't quite work out but i don't recall which one it was.

I learned to play mostly self taught in general :)

  • i cant hear you?

  • Yeah it's a bit quiet i know, just have to turn the volume up dude.

  • dude thank u! i've just nailed this in 7mins 17secs. thanks to your video, i'm gonna subscribe hope u do more.

  • Glad it helped dude :)

I'm just uploading the solo for Don't Cry.. not a lesson yet, as i only just figured it out roughly but there will be one going up soon!! :D

  • which pick ups do you have in that les paul?

  • They're SD 59's mate :) Tis a Heritage Les Paul and not a Gibson Les Paul too ;)

  • Brilliant! Thanks voodooraiders. Learned it straigh away. Great having tips on getting the tone as well. Most people don't bother with this part but it is important.

    Look forward to more

  • I'm glad you found it helpful mate :)

I shall post up some more too, any requests?

  • Nice one matey.

  • Thanks ive subscribed :D

  • You're most welcome dude! :) I should have a camcorder soon and i can start putting more lessons like this up but in better quality etc etc! Thanks for subbing :D

  • thanks..good lesson.. you're almost as good as vanderbilly

  • The left handed guitar made it a look a little strange for me since im not a lefty, not that it matters because you did a pretty good job of it and it sounded right.

    Thanks man.

  • what IS the point in mirroring the video! AWESOME LESSON!

  • Vox REALLY ROXXXX

  • nice lesson

got it after a few minutes

    thx

  • 666 stars! Great stuff. Subscribed.

  • dude i totally came back and watched again after i walked across the room to get my gibson haha i looked at a couple of other vids but i liked this one the best i was rockin out acoustically(on les paul lol) at like 2 am thanks man!!

  • @thenamesdatlon awesome! :D

  • haha it looks like an "A" on the 5th fret lol thats quite cool

  • well i think i see B on the 7th and somethin on the 9th but i cant make it out lol

  • Yes!! i love watching left handed people teach, that way you can mirror it back!

  • Lol i'm actually right handed! I just had the cam set on mirror because it confuses the hell outta me the other way round lol! I see what you mean though! I hadn't even thought about it as a bonus for someone to learn from! Can't discriminate against the lefties though :)

  • is this song in standard tune??¿¿ :S

  • The original is Eb tuning, i did this in standard tuning to save everyone having to detune just to compare :)

  • mate you are a legend thanks so much for makin such a good lesson

  • Cheers dude :) glad i could be of help!

  • very helpfull. tanks

    ...rock on...

  • these people are stupid asking for tabs for every song.. can go anywhere on the net and get tabs.. duhh

  • lol.. well, i don't like to seem unhelpful to anyone, but yeah, I'm not here to spoon feed anyone :)

  • i hear ya.. I mean it not that hard to see what your doing ..lol, don't know why ppl think they need tabs when it all laid out right in front of them

  • I dunno, maybe they just want to cross check it or something, either way, it's much better for anyone reading this to hear how what you're playing sounds compared to what you're trying to copy! :D developing your ear for music n that ;)

  • does any1 have a link to the tabs?

  • Excelente LEsion amigo!! (Y)

    Excelentt Lesson :)

    thank you very much

  • no probs dude :)

  • is aaaa good guitar

  • Honesly super lesson ending was good got it no problem thank you very much

  • thanks dude :)

  • were you tuned to Eb? most if not all GnR songs from that era were all tunes down half a step.

  • Nope it was in standard tuning, it's easier that way rather than making people re-tune. Although i should probably mention it's not in flat in the info! Cheers for that :)

  • thanks voodoo, great lesson

  • Glad i could help :)

  • you can get the tabs for this song at ultimate-guitardotcom

  • do you know where i can get the tab?

  • thnx m8 this video very helpfull

  • Comment removed

  • This lesson wasn't slightly dappy it was awsome! And your are a good guitar teacher.

  • thanks man! appreciate the comment :)

  • i wanna see u doin that with a lynx can somehow involved...i leave it to u ;)

  • its ok thnx i learned it eventually

  • i cant hear you

  • Yeah, sorry about that..

  • cool, I learned the intro here, thanks a lot

  • Valew ae muito bom very Good camarada :D

  • are u playing the rythm or lead part???? cuz it sounds like the rhythm

  • It's the Rhythm part yeah, apart from the solos the lead part is quite boring for a change!! It's just a few simple harmonising notes over the rhythm.

  • No, that's not the rythm. You're playing lead. Just check the lesson from litemc @ youtube. And at the ritz you can see slash playing this part.

  • Well after i did this i checked it against the tabs in the official appetite for destruction tab book, this is 1 of 2 guitar parts played together, it's stated as the rhythm as it's played right through the song with a few small variations. If you listen to the album version you can hear the individual notes more clearly than the part i'm showing here. Izzy i believe plays the intro solo part and slash as you say plays this, Izzy also plays some of the main solo just for anyone who didn't know.

  • gracias muy buenooo!

  • de nada :)

  • im sorry it kinda sounds like a good lesson but i turned my speakers all the way up and still couldn't hear you

    5/5 on lesson

    4/5 on upload,or my speakers

  • Thanks for the comment! :)

It's not your speakers it is a little badly balanced sound wise! It's a 60w amp about half volume which is looooud, so i have to turn down the mic sensitivity so it doesn't pick up the vocals so much, and i mumble a bit, sorry about that! But yeah thanks for the 5/5 :)

  • Do you do requests?? Silverchair,Shade pleeeease!! ;)

  • I can do requests.. And I'll work on that one straight away. However, my web cam has issues, i don't know whether it was abused when it was younger or maybe has self confidence issues, but it probably only records sound properly one in every 30 attempts! Therefore i get pissed off and give up for periods of time, only to return later with my fingers crossed.

  • thx that is awesome

  • wow this is the most amazing lesson ever no really its great(where is the naked midget porn??) i feel robbed arrrgggghhhh

  • They were filming that in the room next door, it took me ages to get the sound levels right so you couldn't hear them..

  • thank you so much i hav been looking for a tutorial for this for ages thanks!!!!!

  • Thanx dude i apreicait it

  • Glad i could help!

  • NICE DUDE, YOU HELPED ME A LOT!
