  • It is very refreshing to hear someone say the things or ask the questions that many people have thought about privately. Personally, I find your videos very insightful. Keep making them. I have also (not just read) but thoroughly studied the Bible, Qur'an and many other so-called religious writings. Adam, Eve and the tree of temptation... Clearly God was working mischief. If you want to believe this allegorical story. I will be subscribing to your videos. Great work.

  • That Christian God is such an asshole!

  • Love: Humanity was created with the freewill to love or hate. If someone put you in a perfect environment and met all of your need, would you love them? The tree of knowing evil (they knew good already) was a test. Sin is rebelling against God by believing lies. God has allowed this rebellion to continue to prove his character is ultimately Love itself (better than mere humor), and that sin's very nature leads to death. He does not MAKE anyone love back, though evil will ultimately end.

  • ok my friends are all christians and i asked him why you have to be saved and his mom and him both said that you have to be saved because of the sins u commited by being born.. wtf! and i thought jesus died to save us from our sins? i dont understand.. i am also one of the only kids in my school who is agnostic (well out of the people that are open about it)

  • hi don,i just watched 2 of your video,s and ive got to tell you i never giggled so much in all my life.don, dont take it the wrong way please.its just the way you say things ,dont think im alone either in thinking you came across funny, but im not missing the point.i hear what your saying, and i think its good that you have these concerns.and there,s nothing wrong with you asking others if they agree with you,u know u remind me of azsupermano, your very much like him,i like n respect u both.

  • If you do all you should do, have all ordinances done and live a Christ-like life being faithful, you can be exalted and inherit Celestial glory, which is the highest. You and your spouse will then in turn be gods and go on to have your own children and own planets. So that's not so boring. :)

If you have questions just message me!

  • The fall of Adam and Eve was supposed to happen, it's all part of a divine plan. If they did not transgress they would not have known anything and would not have been mortal. After eating the fruit, they could see good and bad and were mortal. They could have children. The fall was what God intended.

    Heaven and Hell:

The traditional Christian look on Heaven and Hell is wrong. There is no burning pit of fire. There are kingdoms of glory that you will inherit based on what you do in this life.

  • yes god does have jokes i e you see how funny he can be he rolled shit into a person and gave it a personality ♥

  • Hi Donweary:)

I felt inspired by the intensity in your search for truth after watching one of your videos. Your reasoning makes perfect sense, whereas modern Christianity doesn't anymore - the teachings have been unfortunately convoluted. I had the same questions, but (continued...)

  • at least I knew God to be true because of the love I felt for Him in my heart and for all people, deep down. But my anguish for real answers, this deep longing, and a dissatisfaction of a life without a true known purpose finally came to a conclusion... (continued...)

  • Not only was it a captivating adventure, but boy, were all my questions about Christianity beautifully and clearly answered, and with a sense of humor, at the same time!:) Better yet, it made me realize that God cannot be attached to any single religion, but that truth is universal. (continued...)

  • I couldn't recommend it more, simply because I know your frustration, and I know how good it feels to have it melt into a sweetness and tears of understanding and love. Sharing my own revelation with other truth-seekers is simply an impulse I find difficult to resist for this reason:)

    Discovery & Joy to You!

  • Which as far as i know everyone excpet Jesus has done. That makes us unperfect before perfection. Imagine you have murdered some one and you stand infront of a judge. And you tell the Judge "Your Honor, look at all the people I have not killed!" What law abbiding Judge would let you go? none. abviously we have need a substitute , His name is Jesus Christ.

  • jesus is a bitch

  • 1 Corinthians 15:22 tells us "For as in Adam all die, even so in Christ shall all be made alive." Adam's sin permiates us. We were given a sinnature. 2 Corinthians 5:17 tells us "Therefore if any man is in Christ, he is a new creature; the old things are passed away; behold, new things have come." We have a new nature once we give ourselves over to Jesus. As for was the knowledge of good and evil a sin. of course not, however, disobeying God's commandment to Adam was.

  • I hope my questions help you. I'm sure there are many more questions you have and i encourage and will be praying that you find answers. Most you will be suprised can be answered! you just half to dig a little. I hope your faith will renewed because God loves you very much. HE LOVES YOU!

  • Dear Donweary my name is Justin, I am a christian, and I think your questions are sincere and very beautiful. I believe you are asking to gain true knowledge and wisdom of God. Since you are asking seriouse questions you feel need to be answered i will give you seriouse answers to your questions to the best of my knowledge. As well site scripture to answer you. I will need a few post for this sorry!

  • God does have a senc of hummer, I am living prof. ;-)

  • good stuff. Ah, BattleshipTx and Matur1n...are these guys on EVERY atheist channel?

  • Good questions. enjoyed the video.

  • If God made us...and I believe He did. Everything good that we are naturally would come from our source or designer. Therefore it's not hard to understand that God has a sense of humor. Watch a baby for any length of time and try not to laugh.

  • "If God created us, we should already be perfect."

No. NO. No. Why would you think that? Perfect is boring. You more than anyone should know that with your emphasis on humor. If everything was perfect there would be little or no humor in the world. Most forms of humor deal with missteps, banana peels, funny juxtapositions, mistakes and misunderstandings. There is no reason that a perfect God can't make imperfect creations if that is what he wants to do.

  • "Perfect is boring"

By your own admission, god is boring.

  • Good Jokes are funny, not boring. If everything perfect were boring, then wouldn't the perfect joke be boring? So there are probably exceptions. Maybe God is boring, he didn't say otherwise. Maybe he is the exception. Maybe one of the reasons for earth with all its imperfections is to avoid boredom. We don't know. Infinity is a long time, might get boring after the first 10 gazillion years.

  • It is pretty obvious that God has a great sense of humor. He is the guy who made giraffes and anteaters and hippos. He made dogs who chase their own tails. The jewish judges and prophets writing the OT books may not have had much of a sense of humor. Heaven is not a place like Earth. Of course there is a set-up. We are here as a test. You have a chance to choose between evil and goodness. That's why it feels like a set-up.

  • Test for who? If God created us, we should already be perfect. Why the need for a test? Did god have doubts of his own perfection? So he needed to test us to see if he still got it? So ultimately god was testing himself. So we disappointed god because we showed him that he was flawed so he punished us with death. Way to go.

  • Besides the concept of perfection is weak at best. Say you obtain the "perfect" hammer. Carpenters drool over it, it is the best hammer that can be made. If you give that hammer to my dainty neice as a birthday present, she will be unhappy with you. Even if it is the perfect hammer, it isn't the perfect birthday gift to a dainty little girl. Perfection is meaningless without context.

  • So in what context can we consider god perfect? Are you implying that the concept of perfection is to "weak" to apply to god?

  • So in what context can we consider god perfect"

Maybe he is the perfect creator or perfect God. That doesn't make him theperfect "little brother" for example. I want a little brother that I can teach to ride a bike and who looks up to me and who I can comfort when the first gril he likes won't talk to him. unless God limited himself substantially, he wouldn't be the perfect "litle brother" would he? I repeat that 'perfect" is not a very useful concept without context.

  • So perfection like beauty is in the eye of the beholder?

  • how is this a response to jf777?

  • In the end of my video, I'm kind of reinforcing the question that he tried to answer. I guess it wasn't a direct response, but I felt part of this video did touch upon what he was talking about.

  • Nice video. Subscribe.

  • Some of us at some point also felt these things were untouchable, but we got over it. Humor is a sign that we enjoy the liberation - I do. Maybe, just maybe, it can help some believers to take a new and revealing look at their own beliefs...

  • You are right on sir about scripture providing plenty of ammo for laughter. I think it's cool, like you said, to laugh at the religious idea. It gets painful though when you have close friends and family that believe the absurdities that make us laugh. At times I wanna smack 'em. "THE FORCE IS NOT REAL!!! It would be cool to have if it was... but IT'S NOT REAL!!!"

  • great vid Don. Good point. We need to have a sense of humor. Life in heaven would have Jerry Falwell, Pat Robertson and all the fat cats. They would be wearing large crowns with many jewels. What a weird site that would be. LOL

  • God failed to make Eden child safe. It's like not putting socket caps in the electric sockets. Ah the dozens, man that brings back some memories. =)

  • Would anyone put something dangerous in the reach of their own children and just say "don't touch it, it's bad"? No? And what if you KNOW for certain that they WILL touch it. Doesn't make any sense.

Excellent questions, so many more could be asked.
