  • If that solar panel is like mine. It'll have one diode and that blue LED. To improve it's performance you can cut the legs of that LED. No more waisted energy to have a blinking light. ;-) with just 1W of power every bits counts... Best Regards

  • how long will it take with a 1.5 watt to charge carbattery ? , read somewhere 5 watt took 9 hours for small ipod battery or something ? so like with 1.5 watt couple days then or something or is it charged within 6 hours or so ? how many watts do i need for carbattery to be fully charged within 6 hours ?

  • thanks, what can we do with one watt, I wanted to buy this from Canadian Tire, hack it and make it into a USB charger... 8 dollars sale on now...

USB is 5V, so doesn't quite work for me, I'm going to hack garden solar lights and make a USB charger, will work and is about the same cost.

  • @donx03 - good luck on the solar usb charger your making.

  • @alienpatentoffice - thank you. I was wondering what was inside it and thought others might have been too.

  • Nice, that small circuit was probably just the driver for the blinking led (if this happens to have one).....Nobody really puts things like blocking diodes in panels this small.

  • @sirmasterpimp - yes it has a blue blinking led that blinks when it is in the sun
