I wish they had kept that posture for male trolls!

It's interesting to see the tweaks they made to the other races too... some, like the female tauren and troll, were obviously placeholder low-poly models, but others seem to have been mostly finalized and still revised later... the night elf female seems to have spent some time in the gym between this and the beta! XD

WoW Alpha was a "Game-test" there was come BEFORE beta was release.

WoW Alpha was a "One man" game and you didn't play with nobody, and the map on WoW Alpha was allowed characters to teleport!

That's a very good question and to be honest: I have no idea.

It's also a fact that they had more-or-less realistic looking water back then. At least it was moving, had a water texture and was mirroring it's environment.
