  • Poprawnie ale bez polotu, samo odtwarzanie to nie artyzm lecz rzemiosło.Proponuję jakieś konsultacje u wielkich artystów ale to już trochę nie ten wiek.Może lepiej zostać przy orkiestrówkach

  • u have a special and sweetest sound BRAVO!!!!

  • nice comment, thank you!

Pozdrawiam!

  • fantastic job. May I ask where you acquired that bass and is it old or new?

  • Hi, my bass was basically build for me. The maker is Italian, his name is Guido Mariotto. The instrument has been build in 2000, the wood of it is more than 200 years old thought. So I can't even say if the bass is old or new, if you understand what I want to say. Greetings from Munich

  • great!

    bravo!

  • Thank you!

  • Why and when did you start the double bass?

  • Wow, that is some very nice playing on one of my favourite pieces!

  • Erstaunlich!!!! Maestro, vielen Dank fuer diese wunderschoene Auffuehrung

  • Brilliant playing man. You've got such a great, big tone and the tarantella is so clean! Great intonation too. This dominates all the other attempts at the Gliere that I've seen here on youtube.

  • Thank you so much, it's nice of you to make such a nice comment!

  • How to play this song?

    I 'm a bass player

How 'splay Tarantelli and Intermezzo fingering?

    help me

    Thank you

  • You have to practice, practice, practice. Sorry, but I give a stupid answer to a stupid question!

  • Great!

  • Thank You!

  • Pamiętam koncert, pamiętam warsztaty. Pozdrawiam!

  • are you in solo tuning?

  • Yes, of course! Can't you hear it?

  • I thought so, I am currently learining the intermezzo, very nice piece. I've been looking for sheet music for tarantella but can not find it.

  • Bravo, really amazing!

  • Thank you so much, nice of you!

  • Pieknie!!

    to lepiej! Obiecuje!

Jesli juz musisz byc

bezczelny, to najpierw zaprezentuj coś sobą!

  • Wonderful! Truly great, magnificent! My double bass teacher played this piece today in her recital, and I just fell in love with this piece. Good work, and thumbs up for you!

  • Thank you so much for your kind commands. I wonder however, why all the people watch/hear (almost) only Intermezzo & Tarantella. I've posted so many other works (which are mostly better pieces and even performed better) but the audience tends to glorify exactly there two and the number of viewers is not nearly so high as in this case. Would you explain it to me, please?

  • ??? Sorry, but this time I did not understand this comment.

  • 3:38 the Tarantella begins

  • i am from italy. When and where i can listen you live in italy?

  • Well... I really don't know. I wish to do it but somehow I'm a very poor manager. If you wish to hear me there, please, get in touch with someone in Italy who organizes concerts there (Bass Conventions, Festivals, ect ). I'll come and play for you with no question, with pleasure!

  • what string are you using ?

  • His name is Guido Mariotto from Mantova. That means that I'm playing (for sure) a really Italian bass. It's been build in 2000, I love this instrument! I'm using Thomastic BellCanto Solo at the moment, these are cool too! As orchestral strings as well, try it out!

  • i know that is a double bass ! the name of the liuterie?

  • i can't listen this now and i don't know why ....what is your instrument ? you are fantastic and your db has a velvet sound!!!

  • no, no .... it is double bass! You are right! In my very personal opinion that's the way I would like this instrument to sound, at least when one plays solo things. In the orchestra is something totally different. Thanks for appreciation!

  • Hello. Beautiful playing. I was wondering if you are using soli or orchestra strings on these pieces as well as Praludium. I plan on learning these this semester, as I have just recently discovered Maestro Gliere.

    Bravo on your playing!

  • Thanks for your admiration! To answer your question, yes, I'm playing it in solo tuning. I don't even know if piano part for orchestral bass has ever been printed. In Europe we (almost) always play such things on solo string. Where are you from that you ask such question? I'm wondering. Have fun with Maestro Gliere, it is nice but not quite easy!

  • @slawekbass

I am from the US. I found a part that is written for orchestral bass, which is good because I cannot afford a new set of strings, haha. Do you play in America ever?

  • Well, at the moment I'm not playing there anything but..... I've studied at Peabody for 5 year! I know exactly how the things work in the US. In a way little bit sad, I think. Never the less, these pieces can work on the orchestral tuning as well, there's no problem! So... have fun with it!

  • "Look, now I am with Niek and Wolfgang and I am in my third year so I will finish next year if everything is ok. I am 20, and in summer I have time to go anywhere if you are in Spain. So I will write to you later and you can tell me if you finally can come to Spain. Thank you ! bye,

    Gaizka"

  • Ok, thank you, the thing is that I am looking for a teacher when I finish in Spain with Wolfgang Gutler and Niek de Groot because I dont know sure what I will do. I know that you were in Spain giving lessons so may be in 2 or 3 months I will ask you again. Anycase thanks, keep good, bye!

    Gaizka

  • OK, let's do it this way. You let me know what you want to do, please and just keep checking what the situation is, OK?

    Good Luck!

  • Hi ! I like very much how you play, look I am spanish bass player, I would like to know if you will give any master class in Spain or something similar, anycase congratulations!

    Gaizka Jauregi

  • Hi, thanks for you nice command. I was giving master - classes in Spain for several years. At the moment there are no plans for the classes in the future but you never know! In fact, I'm "working" on organizing a course in Spain for upcoming summer. Just keep asking, we'll see if it works with the master - class!

  • wieso sprichts du englisch alter? wer konnte dir bine und chef sagen? ;)

  • na ja.... schon viele sagen Chef zu mir!

  • bine,bine,chef !

  • What should I answer? First tell me who you are. Well.... in any case, thank you!
