That's pretty neat.

I like the idea of painting in grayscale and then adding color values. Saves time trying to find the perfect color. I'll try it sometime.

Yea, I have a hard time with that too. I like pick a color, paint something with it, and then just pick a color a little darker, or a lttle lighter to do the lighting and shading.

its traced as you can see the clip ins of the outline; other than that he is just adding color values. nice work but i would have to suggest to get away from the tracing job... makes it that much more.. self rewarding on seeing it done.

I don't think he traced, but he definately copied. But he's really good at it. I mean the first thing I noticed was that the shapes of the armor plates was spot on. A lot of peoples pictures come out looking lopsided or disproportional.
