Changed my mind completely after a few weeks of using Robofom, which slowed my quad core computer down to a crawl. Been using LastPass for months now and agree it is excellent. I still don't have my bank accounts in it, just in case!!!
Look for a password manager that stores your information on your computer, encryted: yes, password protected: yes, and that has ability to be portable.. meaning you can take the file or files and the program on a USB anywhere and just activate the program on any computer you use. And make sure the program is not communicating with its home website behind your back (use some sort of firewall or anti hacker to make sure that does not happen).
Unless all your sites (including finantial insitutions) explicitly tell you from where you accessed your account, you have no way of knowing if these centralized password managers have not been used to snoop on your accounts.
Any password manager that has your websites, your accounts and passwords outsite your own computer is a risk, even if they say your information is encrypted. They are the ones who read your info before it is stored. Who knows what they do with that information. They could be accessing your accounts all over the place, inspecting your data and just wating for the right moment to do some massive operation affecting everyone.
Honestly if your not using MyLOK by ii2P your wasting your time, Ive used every other password manager there is and they all don't compare to MyLOK, its worth looking up.
As a home trader I have about 60 online financial accounts and can't afford to have the same username and password for them all -if someone got hold of one they could access all the accounts! I also need to be able to VERY quickly access about three sites at a time, check quotes and make trades, without toggling back and forth to my password spreadsheet.
I have just started using Roboform and think it is excellent.
@SlipperyJim6666 I bet you havent used MyLOK yet, it changes the game completely, I've been using it for a few weeks and i havent used anything better than it. i got it from a company called ii2P, check it out
just use the same name and pass not 100000000000 or make you're browser remember them...if you dont want those things then you're an idiot for not remembering them
Personally I like to just remember my passwords, or I use the remembering feature of Firefox or the site I am currently on, but if you enjoy that service, go for it! However, I would suggest like other comments that the title is misleadng.
Lastpass is hands down the best. I used RoboForm for a while, tried other competitors, but lastpass is absolutely perfect. All operating systems, all browsers, all smartphones. Local encryption. No question the best.
YES!! Change the title ! The title implies it is a disaster. I have used Roboform for at least 10 years now and I really don't know if I could use the internet without it. It is my most vital utility (and I have many).
The title is WRONG - the video message is RIGHT ON !
been using Roboform for years on my flashdrive. it is great so I can use it at work with all my accounts as well as at home with the personal stuff. and the notepad is wonderful as well. Can't live without it.
I appreciate your post on RoboForm. I too have found it very useful. I just want to give you some feed back on your UTube post "RoboForm! No way! Do not use this password manager!". ... I caused me to think initially there is a problem with it. I suspect others probably have the same thoughts. I'd recommend you change to title to something along the lines of "RoboForm - It's terrific - Use it!" Just a suggestion. Otherwise great job and thank you for taking time to share!:-)
I agree. Password managers are essential these days. I use Lastpass and/or Keypass. That and some other common sense measures I don't share. Good post.
As I can see, you are a very well educated person! How do I know that! The terms you used in the comments! Wa! What a gentleman! Just you to know Sir, I just checked the file with the latest anti-virus. Guess what! Clean! Clean! But again, thank you for such constructive comments!
I do use this program, but, i dont trust the forms about banking details asking you for PIN details. Crocks can clone credit cards if they know your PIN
You're actually safer with a reputable p/w manager. When you log on to your financial sites, a very simple key logger can get all your login info. At least the p/w manager prevents this. That said, how will you prevent malware (or packet sniffers and other methods) grab your master p/w?
I keep hearing about having different E-Mail accounts. Why should ANYONE have more than ONE? I have ONE E-Mail account, & I'm VERY happy with it. Why does anyone use MORE than one E-Mail Account?
You are absolutely right! I just re-listen to my video...and it is not free! Free to try for 1 month? Yes! Free as a beer!? No! I will make another video to "adjust/correct" that statement! Thanks!
I think you have mistaken here a password manager for another: you should have talked about Web Replay password manager. So, can you please remake this movie? Thanks!

I've heard decent stuff about Roboform but I think I'll stick with LastPass. LastPass is FREE or just $12 for some premium options.

lol? It only costs less then 30$, 29.95$, try it its for free?? not making any sense (free isn't 29.95$) unless you're saying hack it.
