When I watched this live, it looked like Glock was standing still when Hamilton passed. After rewatching, I see that Glock actually just slowed down-A LOT! Congrats to Hamilton either way. I'm sure Hamilton didn't ask for Glock to slow down. Though I'm disappointed at McLaren's lack of honor. I never wanted to classify F1 as a team sport, meaning 2 drivers are working together to win. Come on! Massa was favoured by the stewards all year. Think of Valencia, Fuji and Spa. Actually Glock was the fastest car on the track on dry tyres. And to correct the biggest mistake: Hamilton overtook Glock right after the 2nd sector, so he did close up in the 2nd and not the 3rd.
Glock was 3 seconds slower than his teammate on sector 3 of the last lap plus hamilton passed on Glock on a section that was bone dry. In my mind, Massa is the true 2008 world champion.

If they'd done the same thing as everyone else, then Hamilton would have got 5th easily. Hamilton is the champ, he got the most points and so is deserving. Deal with it.
The thing that upsets me is the Massa bandwagon that is doing all this complaining. From Australia to Malaysia, everyone was saying get rid of Massa, and after Silverstone people thought he was horrible. Now those same people think he's a deserving champ!? An incredible end to an incredible race and an incredible season. Those laps from when it started raining til the end were possibly the most nerve racking and off their head minutes, I've ever seen at a sporting event - off the scale crazy/exciting. If next years championship is a 1/10th as exciting, I'd settle for that.

When I watched this live, it looked like Glock was standing still when Hamilton passed. After rewatching, I see that Glock actually just slowed down-A LOT! Congrats to Hamilton either way. I'm sure Hamilton didn't ask for Glock to slow down. Though I'm disappointed at McLaren's lack of honor. I never wanted to classify F1 as a team sport, meaning 2 drivers are working together to win. Soon F1 will become the TourdeFrance, with the winner having the biggest sponsor & best racers letting him win.

Glock was on dry tyres, his team mate posted same time on last lap too, Toyota aren't gonna take a gamble unless points were involved which they were, dry tyres reach a stage simply in the wet, you have grip or you don't, if Toyota were under the influence of McLaren which i've been sick of hearing, then why didn't they pit like the rest of the other teams to blend in, the reason why because toyota took a gamble to take world championship points.

Let's not take anything away from Massa though - after a pretty inconsistent start to the season, he drove steadily better and better as the races went on.
But what a special season for Louis - I am sure Louis will win again, but this season will be the most important one for him in terms of his development as a driver. He has had to learn so much; winning, losing, patience,etc

Even watching this now, i still can't believe it! That was the most intense race I've ever seen.
Thank god Lewis won the title, because if he hadn't been wrongly demoted to 3rd in the Belgian GP, he would've been champion after winning the Chinese GP, so this race, in a way, shouldn't have happened.

Come on! Massa was favoured by the stewards all year. Think of Valencia, Fuji and Spa. Actually Glock was the fastest car on the track on dry tyres. And to correct the biggest mistake: Hamilton overtook Glock right after the 2nd sector, so he did close up in the 2nd and not the 3rd.

Glock was 3 seconds slower than his teammate on sector 3 of the last lap plus hamilton passed on Glock on a section that was bone dry. In my mind, Massa is the true 2008 world champion.

Glock was faster over the last lap than Trulli, the only other man on drys, everyone else went in for wets except them two, so they took a gamble, it didn't pay off. If they'd done the same thing as everyone else, then Hamilton would have got 5th easily. Hamilton is the champ, he got the most points and so is deserving. Deal with it.

If Ferrari hadnt fucked up Massa's pitstop in Singapore(the GP which Massa would have won), then even if the FIA didnt 'help' Massa out, he still would have been champion.
Still, a great end to the championship. I wanted FM to win, but LH is champion and thats that. I'm Looking forward to 2009.
