I saw LOTR twice. Once on an staff school trip and the second time I took my husband and son. We all loved it. I SO wish that it would be released on DVD. Footage must be out there somewhere.
i cant believe in october it would have been 3 years since i saw this! im gutted its not showing anymore, i really want to see it again and i agree they should release it on DVD ^-^
i still think the best part was when the orcs attacked us during the 2nd and 3rd act hehe ^-^ i went will my school and one of the girls started hitting one with her bag hehe ^-^
@sbickers1 I know; only a year. The cost to produce this must have been staggering. Does anyone know if it did or will tour in the U.S.? Great tribute btw. b/b)O(
if some will not put the show and broadway I will go and go and see if the orange county preforming arts center will with my self as the Director and my Idea is to have the song Galadriel sings in Elvish/English as well as all the songs with Elvish Lyrics mixed in with The English. thats what I will do
o it was! loads of people say it was awful, and some of the acting defo could have been better, but in terms of music, costume and set, it was astounding! i dragged my friend along a second time after the first! its hopefully going on a world tour soon! look out for it!
I feel really sad watching this. I'm from Spain , but I was in London when the show was still running. My boyfriend ask us to go, but our friends refused, so we didn't go. Now I really regret it. T_T
This brings tears to my eyes...just because I did not see it for my own eyes before it was no more...but I am glad to have the soundtrack! it is beautiful! THANK YOU!
I honestly hope they bring this to the USA! I keep reading everywhere that it's going to be a world tour, so we ought to be included in that. I'd love to see this staged on Broadway, though, I think it would do really well. There are so many other ways than the hydraulic platforms. I miss this show so much!
im so sad that i missed this play. i actually went to it, but i slept through almost the entire thing. i had been awake for over 48 hours because i was traveling. my tour guide brought us to see the show our first night in london, after traveling there from the US. im truly upset that i missed it because what i did see was amazing. i know that they are working on an international show, and i hope it comes to the us
wow it must have been so much fun to be in this :) i thought i was mssing the show but it must be a lot harder for the cast/crew who were involved in it. are any of you going to be in the other productions of it(eg. in Germany)? hope you're all doing well and thanks for putting on such an incredible show!
I saw the show twice in London and was completely blown away. So gracefully and beautifully done. I'm a musical fanatic and I can safely say that this was above and beyond anything I have seen. I will forever cherish it in my heart. I will never forget the atmosphere, the cast clearly loved their job and that showed in the passion brought to the stage. Very sad now, think I will cry!
I saw this show! I cant belive it is ending! I spoke to Abbie Osmon (she knows my dad) and she told me why and apparently andrew lloyd webber is kicking it out for Oliver! Now i have nothing against the show but the fact that it is being turfed out for a show that most people have already seen is a biut bad, there are plenty of other theatres that couldve taken it on!
Andrew Lloyd Webber owns the theatre :( and what ALW wants, ALW gets.
I love Oliver as much as the next person, but you can do Oliver in a school hall. It doesn't warrant such an amazing theatre, with all the moving stages.
Yeah but A L Webber and Cameron Macintosh would't get as much money back from a smaller theatre as they will from selling a TV promoted musical in one of the largest theatres in the country - one of ALW's theatre's to boot. It's all about greed - never mind art - apart from their own art of course! GRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR
I'm seeing the show again tomorrow, I'm so happy!!! I'm gonna try & see it in Germany but I might wait to see it in New Zealand so that I get to see where the films were set as well :D
I saw this and went to the question and anwser session... and they said that 2009 is a Europe/Asia Tour... and 2010 is POSSIBLY *We dunno for sure* an England tour... but the tours will be smaller scaled down show... due 2 massive sets and that sort of thing...
totally heart broken at the thought o fthis wonderful show ending so soon in its run. have been lukcy enough to see this show 4 times, and have my tickets for my fith visit on 17th july. so sad its ending! thnkyou for a wondeful video which sums up this magical show!
Yes, I agree, thanks for the film. Seen it twice and going to see it on 19th July. What wonderful staging and beautiful music and orchestrations, so very full. I do feel very sad indeed that it is to finish. A real gap in the world of theatre and superior music in the West End.
I´ve seen it twice and it was so exiting! Wish to see it again but there´s no way ... Good luck to all cast and crew members and maybe we will see them again ...
Thanks Michael R. + Th., Owen, Rosalie and all of the others for two wonderful shows! I´ll never forget that feeling, the love and the inspiration on stage!

It is an amazing musical - I saw it in the West End. The music grows on you, I love it! It's just such a shame it's run lasted only one year.
