Chippenham folk festival great this year as ever it is & will be, but no Tanglefoot, strange! Hope they will reform at some time if only for one more visit. Folk for Ms is eternally greatful for the time they put themselves out to perform for us.
Our area has been fortunate because they have performed at the Big Island Rendezvous in Albert Lea, MN, for the past 10+ years. Wouldn't have missed it. They performed this song there in past years but not recently. It still brings tears to my eyes and I think it always will.
Best wishes to each of them as the group disbands after this year. :-(
I've been lucky enough to see them twice. Once in Port Dover, and once at the Battle of Georgian Bay (2001, I think). Hoping to see them again when I can.
This is probably the only song I've ever heard that truly brings a tear to my eye.
Great song, I've seen it perfomed at an war of 1812 re-enactment before, and definatly heart warming! Hear them live if you get a chance... well worth the listen.
ive been there, i went to passiondale aswell... that monument is enormous, the graveyard at passiondale was so vast, white crosses literally went further than i could see.
awesome and thats coming from someone of the younger generation sad to hear they broke up

This song is beautiful. I've seen Tanglefoot so many times, including on their first UK tour, and I was gutted to hear they'd disbanded :(

Tanglefoot really makes us Canadians proud. I've seen them live, and I've even met them. They really are very talented men.

Tanglefoot makes us proud as Candians as does Paul Gross with his film of WW1 and the Canadian experience.
