    dat nigga luk like swinny

  • to be honest i don't even know how members of the divine 9 could talk so bad about each other let alone within their own frats and sororities. alot of ppl in my family are omegas and deltas and i was always hearing about the brotherhood and sisterhood between the organizations and the family like relationships between one another. then i come online to see not only ppl dissin colors but niggas, and i mean niggas, dissin within their own frats over who got touched more and who didn't? really?

  • You hardly ever see Omega lines this big these days

  • Hampton University Omegas are like none other <3 I know many of these bruhs from this line. I pledged Delta Sigma Theta at Hampton in Spr. '88. A lot of these comments mention how "old school" this video seems--to me it's as though it were yesterday :) To me these bruhs will remain as they appear in this video: young, strong, with all of life ahead of them :) I know several of them to this day; they are of fine character with rich interesting lives. This line WAS tight and IS tight :)

  • Wow I know at least two of these guys! Both are great and successfeul men now. This is Gamma Epsilon (G.E) at Hampton University. My hometown. Roo-oop!

  • thanx for posting this:: my uncle is #25!!!!! i kno most of them and are very proud of them! they are great role models!!

  • Thats my alma mater Hamnpton University! what!

  • This what I'm talking about old school Q's. In my book my cousin Timothy is still a Q and and for this video is for him.

  • i know yall are brothers, but yall are a lil too close on each others ass, started to look lik kappas. lol

  • @therawest601 Yeah, that's just how them Nupes look on your Mom's old saggy AZZ (right after running that Kappa train on your "skank" sister). No one is "like" a Kappa.........but a KAPPA (ask your woman about it). Keep our glorious name out of your unworthy-azz mouth N_____!!!

  • @1911sFINEST thats not very greek like...

  • @NERD585 Pardon me, but it's very "greek like" to defend the honor of one's respective organization. I'm tired of these losers trying to take lil' cheap shots at my grand fraternity from the safety of their sofas. I pledged way too hard and love my frat much too much for any of that. I had "zero tolerance" during my yard days just as now. Don't worry though, I'm all about Biz' too (my chapter is currently donating toys to needy kids for the holidays). Remember, beyond the frat, I'm a MAN first!!

  • @1911sFINEST i feel you but you also cant let the professional factor your founders established for you to abide by....defend through action and professional speech and not that. I know you get where I'm coming from.

  • @NERD585 I have a graduate degree and hold an executive position in corporate America. Hence, I'm all for professionalism. HOWEVER, I'm also inclined to meet folks at their level when warranted (within reason, of course). As Bro. Malcolm-X stated "sometimes you have to speak their language" to be understood. All bets are off when you dare challenge one's manhood. During college I would've simply snatched a fool up & "handled it" (amazingly folks kept their mouths shut in person). No big deal !!!

  • @1911sFINEST understandable....

  • You dont just sign a paper to join the army to represent your country. You must prepare for that responsibility. Got it?

  • lol wow this is funny. I wasant born until 1992 and im a senior in high school imagine how old these guys are

  • @DipsetAllDay2009 To you, they may seem "old." These gentlemen are roughly 39-43 years old today (11/21/2011). They haven't reached the pinnacle of their careers yet. They are old enough to be your father, so I guess that makes them "old" to you. When you reach that age, you won't find it so "old."

  • @Salsadivva Get The Fuck Out of here! That is old. They can't jump or run like they use to...so they are old!

  • wasnt even born yet sometimes i think i was born in the wrong time i def agree it was better back in the old times

  • Daaaaaaaamn that line is huge...& all those guys are fairly tall...no runts there

  • Gr8t Job!! You don't see this anymore. I am glad to be a product of the 90's myself.

  • This is a beautiful video...it provides a visible look at pledging before it was officially outlawed ...people still pledge today all orgs in different geographies as we still hear hazing being excessive...its shame the division that has occurred w/in all BGLOs due to the new process... I'm a Sigma (Spr. '92 Indiana Tech Rho)...we went old school but w/discretion...BGLOs need to stay connected to their chapters for many reasons. My best buddy in college was a Que (RIP) all respect a good process

  • @anteco31 ok. ok. just had to comment on your comment. Please tell me what, WHAT, is so beautiful about being psychologically and physically abused in this so called "pledging" you speak of? No amount of argument or glorification of your frat is going to by pass what I have just mentioned so don't even bother. My point is that I want you to revaluate what you are saying. It is definitely not a "shame" that this stuff was banned. What I'm seeing here on this video is entirely sick in my opinion.

  • @SexyTheDyke The purpose of pledging is to teach those seeking membership into any respective org to respect the org. That's it and that's all. The character of activities within the process is debatable and I can agree that some measures are unnecessary but some process should be in place in my sincere opinion. Having pledged 20 yrs... the main issue with most processes past and presence is the lack of a universal process in which all members participate the same way...

  • @anteco31 And what type of process would you deem as appropriate?

  • i thought that looked like whipple barn and armstrong hall ol

  • 50 on line?

  • ROOO!!! This was done when "Coming Owt Showz" were done before you crossed. Takes me back.

  • @Slushpup2 upstate ny still does "coming owt" b4 you cross..

  • Arguing on Youtube is stupid

  • Kids today have no respect for the organizations and have completely forgotten the first chapters of their history books. I had to learn the basic history of every org when I was on line. I can talk about Minerva, Elder Watson Diggs, Ethel Hedgeman Lyle, etc. If you don't know these names, you're probably not real yourself.

  • I agree.

  • @Knowledge0106 so true. Back in the day there was a level of respect among the NPHC members that if you didnt know my organization's exact colors, founding date, location of alpha chapter as well as your own, then you were not considered thorough. Nice video EE-ROO!

  • First of all, being Old School isn't a year/date, its a mentality. 1990 ended what you see here. This is hot and I'm an Alpha.

  • I have to agree...that is a fresh cut. Props to his barber. Now, can someone indulge me for a brief minute: I hope I'm not over-stepping by asking this, but is this what they mean by "stomping the yard"? If not, then what exactly does it consist of? If my inquiry is a no-no, then my humblest and and most sincere apologies.

  • its how frats and soreis step.

  • roo to my CHAPTER bruhz

  • WHAT SCHOOL IS THIS

  • The Chapter is Gamma Epsilon, the school is Hampton University

  • wow that's the most i'v sceen O_o

  • a posibility everyone that crossed over has some sort of profession. doctors,lawyers,etc... you have to respect the love for all omega chapters, they look after you when you move on.

  • Dude at like @ like 50 seconds is fresh out the chair. That's a fresh cut.

  • Geez.....that dean looks like he could throw a Buick!!!!

  • Great Vid.. Shout OWT to the Good Bruhz.. OOP-ROO!

  • So what you are saying is that if you are a not physically able to to do what the others do you shouldn't pledge?

  • I love clips like this. I find Greek life fascinating and this to me is what it's all about. I wish Hollywood would show real lines like this and NOT make them look soooo artificial and phoney. These are men who are about achieving something positive and coming together as one unit. I would love to get (an) update(s) on what these men have accomplished now that they crossed and graduated. Step on my brothas!!!!

  • I love the video. Much respect to the GE 90 Bruhs. But I am not liking some of the comments made on here by people claiming to be members of Omega Psi Phi Fraternity, Inc. on here. Some of you are LACKING D! I don't care what they did or didn't do! I don't care what you did or did not do! All Loyal Sons of Omega are supposed to know the importance of Discretion. SO USE IT!

  • Somebody please explain to me the whole "pledging" thing. I honestly get so confused because it seems if you get your ass whooped you are doing it the right way, you are not "paper" and if you dont get beat then you are "paper" . I just want to be enlightend because that seems to be the definition from non-greek members.

  • i have never seen a line this big that wasn't paper, but it is obvious that they weren't after viewing the video. These men looked liked they were "pledged" hard.

  • Its about loyalty and strength

  • wats the point of beatings though...whats that have to do wit anything

  • Seeing how much punishment and unfair abuse someone can take without giving up or backing down is a common way to measure ones discipline and commitment for a greater good.

  • I'm lost. Maybe you all can help me out. I love NPHC greek organizations, but why is it worth all of the turmoil to get in one. What exactly are you getting that makes the pledging process worth going through?

  • Its kinda weird you do it because these type of orgs are unlike any other. there is a lot at steak when people try to join. You cant have bullshiters. so the process is used to find out everything who is about there business and wat their weaknesses and strengths are. its like the process is a temporary thing it but the result lasts a life time. a lifetime of network connections, brothers around the world. along with several other things that you get from brothers that you are closer to.

  • Thanks for the feedback, MMPaschall. I appreciate it a lot.

  • This was in Spring 90. One of the last lines before the rules were changed (made easier) for intake in Fall 90. I luv my bruhs, but anytime I hear that some bruh crossed over AFTER fall 90, then I know they didn't really go over the right way, the old school way.

And yeah, 30 lamps crossing over at once, something ain't right. We had 11 lamps and only 2 of us crossed over. Not all are supposed to be tight enough to cross. But I ain't gonna judge b4 I meet the bruhs 1 on 1 and see for myself.

  • WOW! Ive been at Kent State since 2005, and Psi Gamma has never crossed a line more than 5 here! 30 is ridiculous!

  • Yelladawg, No Disrespect, but I'm Spr. '04

and I put BOTH of my experiences up against any bruh that came thru after 1965! Realize, just because there are rules and regs, doesn't mean they're bn followed! Believe Only 1/2 of What You See.....None of What You Hear!

As far as the size of this particular line, they are the "Infamous" Spr. 90 GE Bruhs, that were a combination of 3 lines that included 2 that didn't cross earlier because the bruhs were off the yard!

  • @EbonyBlanco thank you for educating everyone on the history of this line. Glad people are checking out the video. Spread the word about it because I was just informed they are going to take it down because of the PE music.

  • are you serious about the music or you being sarcastic lol

  • Wasn't there an injury or death that made

Pres. Harvey kick all Greeks off the yard for a couple years? I remember '90 being a big year.

  • There's a lot of comments being made but I bet these lamps were not already members of Omega during this probate!!! Not like today when dudes wake up in the morning in the frat and put on some fatigues and go do a probate and then take their shirts off and already have letters on! That shit going on these days is disgusting! Probate means probationary as in YOU ARE NOT ALREADY IN ! Who knows tho the 90's is when a lot of cat ass dime dropping started there was a time only b****** did that!

  • HOOLLY SHIT! how many were they?

one of the directers at my school is a Que dog and he pledge Mighty mu psi at TSU, he crossed in 1969 with 43 line brothers. how amazing is that?

As you can see there was a long line of Omegas being maid. know you have these young Omegas that's being stingy of letting men in to the frat. just revewing the DVD their was older bruhs in charge be in the frat for years and now you have bruhs that has been in the frat for less than a yr trying to make somebody. let's get it together frat.
