  • PLEASE clarify, has there ever been a rule that when the ball bounces twice on your opponents side when you serve short, you lose?

  • @schijtraket No. It's always been legal.

  • Wrong the ball cant bounce twice on the table or else you lose the point

  • @lol48275 If the receiver lets the ball bounce twice on the table they lose the point and the server wins the point.

  • thanks man ! it helped !

  • @r0ckBanDz You're welcome.

  • you sould allways be at the center of the table

  • @EATALLGINGERS44 I think that it depends on whether you favour your forehand or backhand. We actually have a video lesson on the ready position which talks about this in detail. You can find this on our website under our lessons.

  • @EATALLGINGERS44 It isn't good to be at the center of the table because it may take more time to switch from your fore hand to your back hand.

  • I Replay the video just to hear the sounds of the ball.

  • Muito bom.

  • Just by looking at this short shots I went on third place today at an amateur contest :) i would've love to be a professional player but my time has past! Anyways you are good teachers. Keep up, best regards from Romania!

  • @dragosnarcis That is great. Congratulations. Keep practicing and who knows how good you can become?

  • NICE

  • @thehady101 Thanks!

  • @thehady101 loses

  • indian guy rapes thumps up if u agree

  • Finally there is a lefthanded person woohoo!!

  • Can someone help me? I'm looking for a video from pingskills that shows me how to add side spin or well any spin to a serve. I'm really stuck. I've been trying to figure it out myself but it's incredibly hard without any help (especially since I train by myself). I would love it if someone would respond

  • @miphino we have a DVD available on our website called Serving Secrets Revealed. We go into a lot of detail about how to generate spin on your serves. I think you would like it.

  • ok can someone help me. these tips would help me if i was vsing a guy who holds the paddle normally, but me brother holds it like an idiot and has it so he has 3 fingers on the handle and always has it on the back hand side so the paddle never flips. he wins in games even though im doing topspins and stuff. and his forehand side should be totally vunerable but some how he always hits it over. and him and everyone else thinks that he is better, just because he plays defense and has ne teqnigue

  • @Sk8ingGuitarplayer I think the key here is to just keep developing and improving your strokes using the correct grip and technique. Once you develop your strokes to a high level you will have more power and more consistency and be able to beat the defensive player with a weakness on their forehand. So practice hard using the correct techniques. It will pay off in the long run.

  • @pingskills ok thank you so much i new the forehand had to be it ill start practicing. ya i told everyone in the long run i was going to be smearing them lol

  • @Sk8ingGuitarplayer You're welcome.

  • what rubbers are you usng alois ??

  • @dannyoreilly100 Alois and Jeff are currently both using Xiom Vega Pro.

  • The look at 1:30 "Now thats how its done, bitches."

  • i love your serve from min 1:20 can you tell me how i can do this serves?

  • @salkstap It is really about making the ball go quickly. The best way to practice is to put a piece of paper in the corner of the table as a target. Then serve over and over trying to hit the target. You will start to learn naturally. You can also ask a question on our website where we can provide more detailed answers (YouTube comments are limited in length)

  • WHAT IS BETTER FOR AN ALL ROUND PLAYER ... MORE SPEED RACKET OR MORE CONTROL RCAKET ?

  • @DoctorKashEXtremisT It is a personal choice and depends on your skill level but I would lean towards a bat that is not super fast for an all round player.

  • how do you serve faster with a good amount of spin?

  • @jkim519 It is really about having a fast swing. You also need to brush the ball to generate spin.

For a more detailed answer try asking questions on our website. The comments here are limited. Also by using our website all of your questions will be stored so you can look back over them at any time.

Thanks for the question and good luck with your Table Tennis.

  • sorry double post ^_^

  • If you're talking about the position from where you do your serves, it doesn't matter where you stand, you can stand in the middle or at the corner of the table. As long as it is behind the table and not at the side of it.

  • can u please recommend me a nice pre assembled racket having max speed and spin with max possible control ... im an intermediate player and heading towards more competitve play ... i have looking for too long but cant find the perfect match having maximum speed , sin and control ! plz respond ot this one plz dont ignore ..plz :)

  • @DoctorKashEXtremisT If you are looking for a faster bat and you are an intermediate player, I would suggest moving onto a custom bat. We have some suggestions on our website. If you have other questions then try using our Ask the Coach section of our website as we have more room to provide answers and all your questions are stored so you can look back over them.

  • thats a butterfly racket rite

  • @MegaSaif2010 I think at the time that was filmed I had a Primorac OFF- blade with Sriver rubber on both sides.

  • holy shit at 1:28 ^^

  • hey ping skils..make a video about how to receive side spin serve,,backspin, topspin, ghost serve, and how to determine the time to hit those serve..i really need that..plzzzz..

  • ive got an 9th place in my city's table tennis contest

  • Can you stand in the middle of the line?Because I was playing vs my friend and when it was 16-11 for me he started crying that I couldn't go stand in the middle. Please reply.

  • @patatohead123

If you're talking about the place you do your serve, it doesn't matter where you stand. As long as it is behind the table and not at the side of it.

  • what bat are you guys using here spin non spin witch one? plz

  • lissto

  • im more aware of this now, now i need the technique.. which currently is shockingly crap at the moment. its a struggle to get free points off it, and like 90% of when i serve, its slower and lacks spin at times and im drawn into a rally afterwards. any better tips on better technique, like how to put extra spin, maybe better speed and even better placement?

  • personally i think it depends on where the receiver is and the amount and type of spin is on the ball after all if the server serves in a bad area but at a high speed its likely the receiver wont get it or hit a set up shot

  • Спасибо большое. Классные уроки!

  • Very good toturial :D Keep up good work guys.

  • helpful thanks

  • MSAC :D

  • but the part about where the bad areas were was correct so i give some props

  • bad...when he said the good areas were at corners..actually quite wrong, cos for me.. im always on the attack and i can smash if they give that shot, its so simple .. and the one where he served near the net , why did the opponent return so high?i mean even if it was near the net.. i could just push to his back hand or just swipe the ball and ill get the point, or if i dont get the point ill get ready to smash him and ill still get the point

  • @mapleplay3rz; all you said were right... but they're teaching the basic dude. you're once a beginner.

  • ping skills has the best ping pong videos ever,im almost as good as these 2, i watched every video they have, and you should too, it fricken helps

  • @SikhsintheCity Where did you find out that he did? ?_?

  • Most people who just play table tennis don't know the spin of the ball, thus making fairly easy to score with 2 strikes, not 3.A backspin serve in the back of the table, makes opponent hit the net :)

  • he should flick those short serves

  • ok....

  • How is the comment, "ps3 rules" relevant to this video on table tennis.

    Fail

  • haha

  • Wang Liqin has a nice serve, so does Ma Lin.

  • omg thanks lol people always get me out by 7 - 0 and now i score 1 - 7 yes!!! ty

    !!

  • u got to be kidding me if i played like the indian guy it wouldnt matter where i served!!!

  • @efwickedsick i dont see any indian guy lol!

  • @efwickedsick I thought he was africain

  • @lol48275 NO HES OBVIOUSLY ASIAN LOL

  • u r a pro so u will know

  • man this made me realise how rubbish i am. i just serve fast, deep and low but zero spin.

  • Wow you guys are really good !!!

  • Great lessons here. Thanks from Spain.

  • We will try and make a video on this in the coming months. We are busy right now finishing off our latest DVD. Once that is completed we will focus on some more lessons for YouTube.

  • Can you reslly just go play at the msac?

  • Yes I play every Sunday, $12 per hour! Check out my vid "good table tennis rally 2".

  • Cool! Nice vid as well

  • muahaha I pay 1$ to play, and another for a lesson! so for me, 2$ for it all

  • i play whenever i want for free on my own table with friends. and im so good i dont need lessons.... lol kidding.

  • but the 2 dollars pays off, the ball constantly landing on cockroaches if i miss. (shivers)

  • he play well , but he should explain the tricks more in Details.

  • he plays very nice

  • forest gump -.-

  • u guys act like uv got the perfect serves but why would u be on this link if u did ??? haha

  • Just to see if the tutorials are actually good

  • But you fail to say that China has won almost every World Championship except for Waldrer

  • could you point me in the direction of a video teaching the chinese method ?

  • Sorry, can we have "The Grip" please. Your lesson is 100% dependant on the American grip

  • Im sorry Pingskills. You training is in in direct opposition to Chinese tactics

  • Ye i agree but MOST people use the western way and they speak english so they are talking to westerners so i guess they're talking western tactics

  • Sorry you remove my comment

  • Is this filmed in Melbourne? I used to play at Kilsyth back in the day, I'm now in South Korea, we have a table tennis table at work so I got my bat sent over, fact is I now suck after being an A grade junior (many years ago) and I can't counter hit more than 3 times!

    Anyways thanks for the lessons.

  • Haha U'll get ur eye back into it

And be as gud as u were :D

  • im only a begginer how the hell am i suppose to do that. Serve so deep

  • Practice!

  • where i should serve the side-spin serve?

  • Try 2 serve it short on the side

  • That man speaking in the background 0:01 to 0:30 is quite annoying. Specially in 0:30 where he shouts.

  • his friend gave him some home made can of WHOP ASSSS!!!!!!!!!!

  • looks like you got schooled by your friend there

  • good one

  • may i know wat serve did he use??

  • he used a no-spin serve

  • i ment you look way better

  • hey Al its jarryd from westbourne you lokk way better when you play

  • Hi Jarryd, Good to see you watching some Table Tennis videos. Hope they help.

  • im working on my service and i want to know whether it is more effective to put topspin on the serve or what?

  • side spins but you can surprise ppl with a sudden no spin + high power

  • i just uploaded a serving video. can you please watch it and give me some feedback. thanks

  • Comment removed

  • try it serving with your bat slightly facing downward and hitting it with a small rapid stroke using the power of your wrist. try hitting it below your chest as if it almost a little bit above the level of the table

  • hi 0RYZERO

im no pro but i was a champ during my high school and college days... i've got some comments on your stroke... there are two points i just want to share about your serving.

    1. open your palms when throwing it up.

    2. you are serving a right sidespin and the bat is facing upward thats why the ball bounces a lot higher and can easily be countered by the opponet with a flick..

  • nice vid alot better than others

  • This was a very good lession, your other one" most important" really sucked but this one rocked!

Another tips to you noobs out there :) play normal with friends dont use retarnboard and stuff.

  • Retarnboard? Explain please =]

  • serve i tell u, if u hit the 'bad' areas u still can get a good serve.. how? serve with different variation of spin, side, under, top, junk.

i hav the best service in my school and its easy to win matches cos of my service and easy kills.

  • fnx auzzie man

maybe ill finnaly be able to beat my dad tonite

  • you are the best man

  • Thanks for the free lessons.

  • Man, why the hell does this video exist? Fast and long serves are so gonna get a winner reception from the opponent.

  • love this. any1 wanna learn magic pm me i am a magician

  • great to learn from an aussie

  • Well done for the coach!

  • fast long serves are crap my opion is short back spin serves

  • i hate playing lefties

  • Thanks for the great lessons!

  • Good advice, but in the short serve i would rather do a spin backspin and he smashes it in the net :)

  • how does he serve the ball at 1:26? it looks as a fast serve with only a bit spin. that right?

  • I think so, but wath is so good with that service is the placement, far forehand.

  • thanks very much... .........does anyone Know how to do the serve all of the really good players do ...like when the guy on the closer end of the table serves

  • Hi,

We are planning on making a more advanced video lesson on the serve so stay tuned over the coming months.

  • Thankyou very much .........I look forward to watching it your videos have been a great help

  • Oh and the serve i was on about is called a pendulum serve. thanks again

  • very nice

  • That is some good advice, do you have a video on how to counter the spin when returning serve?

  • We are planning to add more videos throughout the year so stay tuned. Returning serve is definitely on our list.

  • I would like to know how it was that someone I knew at secondary school once could toss the ball like two meters above the table allow the ball to meet with the face of his bat while retracting it toward himself slightly (the ball was the original smaller diameter though).

  • The ball would shoot across the table with tremendous speed and spin. Each time I tried to return it the ball would meet with the net. The guy was incredibly consistent with that serve. He used to play for Chessington club in a junior league

  • Have a look at our website for our DVD "Serving Secrets Revealed". This talks about the high toss serve.

  • good

  • Great basics. This, unfortunately, is the kind lesson many players seem not to have had.

  • great!!
