Hitchens should have countered Drummet by saying that religion is the catalyst that facilitates extremists behaviour. Just throwing that out there. Long live Hitchens!

That standing ovation was just amazingly moving. I learnt more watching Hitchens speak during these couple hours than I think I've learned over the last couple months. The man is a walking encyclopedia! ... And by the way, I don't think anybody would call this a "debate". Mr. Brummette was hardly an opponent. I saw no interesting intellectual boundaries between the two.

This is the first time I've seen an opposition debater to Christopher Hitchens that presents clear and logical answers.

I guess that's why it wasn't much of a debate.

@LanaWidowed I was. It was a great discussion but the whole thing didn't feel too much like a debate, per se. It felt a bit more light and conversational without two opposing sides. People were walking out saying they didn't really feel there were winners or losers.
