I'm seriously considering getting an ls4 Monte to upgrade from my 3800 Monte. What kind of mpg do u get on average without getting on it alot? Love the Monte by the way
@bigpoppa941 this is SLP exhaust and I deleted the mufflers on her! I still have the mufflers in the garage now!! never used too! but just go to SLP online and/or summit and type in your vehicle info...
Your Monte is bad as hell man! Some pieces of shit stole my black 02 Monte SS like 2 weeks ago. I'm sick as hell over it. I'm thinkin, it's an 02" no ones gonna take it. Man was I ever wrong.

i dont like slp that much, they are way too loud. i ended up going with the magnapacks which are almost just as loud as the slp just not as wreckless lol

@demariojason I was young and stupid I guess :/ I was only 22 but still stupid nonetheless. I was dreading winter when I saw a HUGE 2002 silverado 2500HD that had been lifted 6 inches..sooo I traded my SS for it. Then when I couldn't afford to pay $75 per week in gas, I traded that for a 2007 Scion tc that had: been lowered, TRD exhaust, intake, short throw shifter, nice rims, and had tint. The only reason I got one of those is because I wanted something good on gas, but not a lame as a Honda :p

i drive a monte carlo ss 2000. the mc ss' are fast and have some good acceleration. When i get my bread up im gonna make mine look good too but i like how you took off the ss symbols though it just gave me another idea on what to do to mine. But all together you have a really really nice car.

With a car like this, I would want to live off of a rural highway. 0-60 with that must be fun as hell. Too bad my dad makes me drive his Corolla, so I have trouble getting on side streets.

@goodson305 $579.95 part #:31028M Ordered from summit. No matter what people tell ya, this cat back system hooks up PERFECTLY with the 06-07 montes!! I've checked with Summit for your Impala I didn't show me the SLP exhaust! :-( But you can try it,...if I were you I would just let a exhaust shop do it so they can fab here and there *IF* they even have to,.....hopes this helps!

I Have an 04 monte carlo..i wish they would have had v8s for my year cuz i cant find an exhaust that sounds like its got muscle cuz its a 3.8. we could all have our wishes but im sure anyone would agree that they should have never moved the monte carlo to a front wheel drive car! i hope they come out with a new monte in a few years like they did with the camaros!!!

@demariojason Thanks! Just wondering. Have you had any oil consumption issues with your car? Mine has almost 50,000 miles and is using just over one quart every 2,000 miles. The dealership is finally acknowledging the issue and is replacing the pistons and rings under warranty.

@XBL123 U cant get urs sounding like this, the 2000-2005 MC SS have a 3.8 V6, the 06-08 SS have a 5.3 V8, not much u can do to make it sound like this, i own a 02 MC SS with FlowMasters n I also have a 07 Impala SS 5.3 V8 same engine as this one n my Impala stock sounds so much louder than my Monte Carlo with flowmasters...
@MrDWhite96 you can go to SLP online, and type in what make and model. As far as straight pipe. The shop is who will do that for ya! No cat-back exhaust (that I know of) comes straight piped. The shop will just put pipe where your mufflers go. hope this helps bro!
Im really considering get one of these. The last g8 was sold in my province and hows the relaibility of these cars. Power and handling. And whats there for aftermarket and engine mods. Thanks a ton.
@Jasshands1 Thanks friend!! Those G8 are sweet! But the power and handling is great!! throw some strut bars on it and it enhances the handling very well! power: 5.3 303HP 327ft/lbs. We only have a couple of mods but enough in my opinion, because we have mods that sent the LS4 13.00 in a 1/4!! Throw a turbo on it and your in the 11's easy!

Tinted tails from flipcustomtails custom black & silver car flag(can't remember what website, but you can just type it in) debadged SS, GM, & Montecarlo emblems & VERY IMPORTANT: use Meguiar's DEEP CRYSTAL CAR WASH! I'm not a "hater" as some would like to brand and since comments are open I'll speak.This is not "Steppin Up"."Steppin Up" is major engine mod's such as,cam,head extrusion porting,turbo,major engine swap/upgrade.Not exhaust,brakes,minor suspension mods and debadging.What's the sense in debadging?Aerodynamics?Did you remove the badges yourself?Skillfull.You paid an extra hefty cost for those plastic pieces.Don't hurt your shoulder pattin yourself on the back there,Richard Petty.

I would just say that you're ignorant & corny. Why? simple: If you just read the full damn description, you'll understand this upload. Sense of debadging? Is cause I fucking want to. But, this has nothing to do with all that crap your talking. This was a response to a TROLL downing others exhaust work. BTW: I could have sworn anything you do is a "step" up from the last "step" What you are speaking of is a whole staircase/floor/levels/etc. Last time I've checked, steps are small, Obe-Wan Kenobi.

@goodson305 $579.95 part #:31028M Ordered from summit. No matter what people tell ya, this cat back system hooks up PERFECTLY with the 06-07 montes!! I've checked with Summit for your Impala I didn't show me the SLP exhaust! :-( But you can try it,...if I were you I would just let a exhaust shop do it so they can fab here and there *IF* they even have to,.....hopes this helps!

I Have an 04 monte carlo..i wish they would have had v8s for my year cuz i cant find an exhaust that sounds like its got muscle cuz its a 3.8. we could all have our wishes but im sure anyone would agree that they should have never moved the monte carlo to a front wheel drive car! i hope they come out with a new monte in a few years like they did with the camaros!!!

also K2motor sells them as well but they are a little more expensive but have a better warranty. I got rid of them because they are crappy made! HaHa!!

@demariojason Thanks! Just wondering. Have you had any oil consumption issues with your car? Mine has almost 50,000 miles and is using just over one quart every 2,000 miles. The dealership is finally acknowledging the issue and is replacing the pistons and rings under warranty.

@XBL123 U cant get urs sounding like this, the 2000-2005 MC SS have a 3.8 V6, the 06-08 SS have a 5.3 V8, not much u can do to make it sound like this, i own a 02 MC SS with FlowMasters n I also have a 07 Impala SS 5.3 V8 same engine as this one n my Impala stock sounds so much louder than my Monte Carlo with flowmasters...

@MrDWhite96 you can go to SLP online, and type in what make and model. As far as straight pipe. The shop is who will do that for ya! No cat-back exhaust (that I know of) comes straight piped. The shop will just put pipe where your mufflers go. hope this helps bro!

@Jasshands1 Thanks friend!! Those G8 are sweet! But the power and handling is great!! throw some strut bars on it and it enhances the handling very well! power: 5.3 303HP 327ft/lbs. We only have a couple of mods but enough in my opinion, because we have mods that sent the LS4 13.00 in a 1/4!! Throw a turbo on it and your in the 11's easy!

Nice Monte! I love the exhaust. I put the MagnaFlow Exhaust on mine and it sounds pretty weak. I'll have to check out that SLP exhaust.

K&N intake, SLP cat back exhaust, no mufflers, SSC lowering springs, installed halo/projectors, used blue luminic bulbs, flipped motor mount. black bowties in the front & back from grafxwerks. Tinted tails from flipcustomtails custom black & silver car flag(can't remember what website, but you can just type it in) debadged SS, GM, & Montecarlo emblems & VERY IMPORTANT: use Meguiar's DEEP CRYSTAL CAR WASH! I will upload a carwash vid ;-)

When I only had super 40's on it & heard all this on LS1Tech, I thought to myself: "what I'm I doing here??" I went on the websites & looked at the muffs & just decided to go with SLP cat back exhaust (which 2000-05 W bodies bolts up fine)& then decided to straight pipe it, as they were installing it! I'm blessed GA doesn't trip on us! But drjesus, your car IS a 10 bro!! Remember that.

@demariojason ... what i meant was if sound is factored into pureness, level of exhaust and such on a scale of 10 where 10 is straight piped, 1 is a hybrid car ... then im about 7, loud enough for fun, but not for tickets ... and thanks for the vote of confidence on my car ... i just wish i could afford the things i want to do to it, but im trying to save for another car, in preparation for the gas nightmare that this summer will be ... hopefully a 5 speed cavalier or focus

@demariojason ... im really torn between getting something cheap and then selling it for the same or more when gas peaks around july or august, you know, some subtle tweaks here and there, and a set of rims can pull some good craigslist money ... or taking what i got and putting it towards a 05-08 cobalt 4cyl manual ... and just paying off the remainder for 2 years and garaging the monte for a while ... damn usa economic bullshit and gas prices, where i live is already $4.05 for premium

@NoLimitSoldier74 from Wheelmax. Its an online wheelplace that has ALL types of rim and tire packages! Or just tires or just rims!! You Choice!! These are called excel rims. 18's ;-) I love em!! Simple to keep clean. Listen: everytime I wash the car I wash behind the rims as well! It gets a little tough because of my hands and the calibers and what not but yeah They look great on cars such as these!! I'll have it no other way!
