  • That Insulation is crap. Use regular Armaflex with 520 glue. Not to mention his Tee looked like crap. I never "roll" a 90, I always cut a 3 piece 90.

  • @NutzAndGutz, We agree, we always like to see 3 piece T' and 90's (especially me because of my 35 yrs experience in this field). They look a lot better and we do show the practice of doing these on our site. These clips are meant to be helpful to folks doing small bore piping. These application practices are approved by the manufacturer as proper means of fab and installation.

  • @NutzAndGutz This guy is a scab!!!!!!!

  • @jukilo09, you sure got that right ! payback is within the first heating season in nearly all situations (or sooner). I have been guest speaker for the Pennsylvania Department of Energy, round table discussions and I am certified to do heat loss and energy calculations to ASTM standards. I have literally done hundreds of energy audits for very small to very large concerns that continually prove you are correct.

  • @jukilo09 , yes you can OR, many times it is easier to use a larger diameter tube if available and if you need a few. the one vid shows how to do a valve from a completely different pipe insulation size so go back, and take a closer look. call with questions.

  • how about some layout vids.!

    t-y's, fishmouth's, 90's and 45's, .... ect.

    great job! keep it up.

greetings from local 33 heat and frost insulators

  • @negotiator84, that is what the insulation apprenticeship is all about ! I got in the union in about 1979, like my father and uncles. if it requires layouts as you are requesting, please call your local insulation contractor or call us. we can point you in the right direction either way.

  • Very nice. Great video

  • Awesome! I see people's houses that have uninsulated hot water pipes, and their money is literally flowing right out of those pipes.

  • sweet now i know how to do the rolling method. Thanks

  • What is the preferred way to insulate the larger diameter valve body and at the same time keep a nice professional looking job?

  • @74VDC , sorry for the delay in theis reply. we have work books that show how to do large valves. all you have to do is call and ask for them.
