Is it stock or you have other mods? I want to buy this for my jetta but it is stock other than being lowered for now. will this exhaust still sounf good if its stock?

Stock for the most part. At that time I was running a chip an a 3'' TB exhaust.

This exhaust might sound a bit different on your Jetta since the Jetta has a trunk.

@bitchfac3 Your better off just getting a cheap ebay downpipe.. All it is is tubing and flex pipe. I've heard of more issues with the GHL downpipes over ebay ones (not to mention 1/4 of the price).

Yeah, until it rusts through a month later. Unless you plan on junking the car in a couple months you should spend the extra bucks on a ceramic coated exhaust system.

i got the 2.5 turbo back and it runs mint you really dont need a 3in unless your pushing 400+ hp i swapping mufflers tho apr turn down to awe twin tip

A better exhaust flow never hurts. One of the main reasons why I went with the 3'' and not with the 2.5'' exhaust was because I was planning on doing a BIG Turbo swap. Which I'm now ;)

i've got this exhaust on my car.. love it but my only complaint is that its just a smidgen to quiet. my buddy's got a tt 1.8t with a big turbo, and he's runnin no cat, and a magnaflow muffler, and its sound is just about perfect. 4" angle cut tip with the muffler, not a bolt on. at idle it sounds like a beast.. on throttle... monstrous!

I haven't had any issues with my exhaust rubbing anything . but I heard that if the exhaust is not aligned propperly it tends to rub on one of the subframe heat sheals

I love it man. I hanven't had any problems with it. the crasfmanship in this thing is top notch - full stainless steel, the sound and performance is even better, I was running KO3s (stock turbo) at the time this video was taken and it sounded mean, may be not as mean as an VR6 or .:R32 but mean for a 1.8T . I guess the only down side that I can think of is price. but is one of those mods that are worth the spending.

no, this is an aftermarket exhaust 3" full stainless steel.

I purchased the same exhaust for my GLI but have not installed it yet. I would really appreciate it if you could tell me if you used the resonator and the cat to acheive this sound.

I used everything that came in the box :thumbup:. you don't have to worry about cat since the APR system comes with a high flow cat for better performance as for the resonador I would say leave it as is unless you want a mighty loud exhaust

yes it is resonated. milltek systems are nice. the only problem with them is that they sound almost like a stock exhaust IMHO.

I don't think there is much of a difference between the GTI and GLI exhaust cost wise. but I would say they run around $850 to $950

it looks different from the rest of the APR tips because it was specially made for APR to fit the 337/20th ae

I know they made a single tip for the 337 and 20th..but it just didn't look like it at first..I see it now that I really look at it..the lighting messed me up..it didn't look like the tip was rounded at the edges, it looked just flat cut.
