The Strike King Redeye shads are my go to bait in the spring. The other rattletrap baits do ok, but when the redeye shad came out, I got a lot more bites.
@triton186alum Didn't notice that until you mentioned it. Yes, that front hook does catch the line.
That doesn't happen much to me when I'm using them. In the video it's a vertical presentation with slack line. In the lake, that line will be angled and be clear of the hook.
Sometimes that front hook grabs the line during casts, but not anymore than other crankbaits.
do you just do a straight retrieve or what
