  • DO NOT BUY THE Carry Speed-PRO. I just got the Carry Speed CS-PRO. It is flawed and not designed properly. Do not buy this product. The seller knows about this problem and told me I would have to buy an upgrade. You can read my full post here forums.dpreview.com/forums/read.asp?forum=1023&message=40832355

  • 10:00 That's what the front bumper is for. The camera won't go anywhere with the front bumper in place, but you can still pull up hard enough if you have to and get that fast shot. You're sort of S.O.L. if you clip it to your back belt loop.

  • The strap is very similar to the Black Rapid. However I'm sold on the mounting bracket and it'll work with the BR.

  • Black Rapid does have a zipper for your accessories. Check the RS-4. Same one like the one you got. Carryspeed probably bought a black rapid and and try to make it better.

  • you stole thenikonguy's intro music?

  • i purchased on ebay for $28.00 new thanks for the video review...yea i don't get it either with all the negative comments, he's reviewing the product take it or leave it.

  • @moratis1 I don't have to show you a video on Youtube, you can just put this reviewed strap on (that didn't sound right), and try it for yourself. I own one and use it extensively, basically walking. I shoot motorsports, and don't always have access to a scooter to move around the track, so on most weekends of racing, I walk for miles and miles carrying my camera with this strap. Never once did I feel uncomfortable because of any swinging around of the camera+lens. Sorry I was offensive before.

  • @moratis1 you're such an asshole... have you ever tried one properly?

  • @moratis1 Thats why there is a quick release clip. Just saying.

  • I noticed that it keeps sliding down, is that an issue for you? I still may get it anyways because of the price it's not a deal breaker. Don't just say it's not an issue because they gave you a free strap.

  • Thanks for the video.

    ...and clean your room :)

  • @ZSuttonPhoto I know right?!?!, they ALSO RIPPED OFF SpiderHolster's "SpiderPro Plate" with their "C-2 Mounting Plate" too!

@rstrapvideos & @spiderholster TOTAL RIPOFF by this company!!!

  • So it is exactly like a Black Rapid strap, just the knock off brand? No thanks

  • @ZSuttonPhoto agree...the mount doesn't even look nice. i'm glad i have a black rapid cargo with a BRAD.

  • @flowremix Seriously?! I hope you mean "look" as in it doesn't look sturdy, and you don't mean its aesthetics. I don't like the way it looks, either, but I DO like the thought of it setting more flesh against my hip (comfort).

  • Carryspeed needs to pay you for this review. Your video has sold me on this strap. Awesome. It adds a more than the Blackrapid one.

  • @hr1meg Haha I mean they did give me a free strap, which was awesome of them to do.

  • I think you did a GREAT job on the review.I hate all of the negative comments. You are just doing a review *L* Honestly I have a Black Rapid and it never stay on my shoulder. I am giving it the boot and going with the Carry Strap.

    Thanks for the super review.

  • blackrapid has difrent model depending on ur like

  • Do a review on their viewfinder?

  • So what's the big difference?

  • Sold. I'm buying one right now!

  • Great review, that Carryspeed looks like the one to get!

  • CarrySpeed is a copycat. They didn't invent anything about the strap, they just OEM it from China.

  • You link to the facebook page? They are coming up with crazy stuff? They copied another companies design and are selling it for 15% less. You are obviously related to this company in one way or another. Their facebook page? Cmon be a little less obvious.

  • this one is half the price and as good as black rapid. i would go with the speed carry

  • the small strap that connects to the belt loop to prevent the camera from going in front is awesome but i think it requires everybody to wear pants with belt loop to use this.

  • great review, but it has flows also, you cant speed change battery with it or speed change cards(some cameras has their memory card slot along the battery)

if you guys already have a blackrapid strap and you want the feature of the CS, just buy the CS plate fastener.

  • No homo, but you looked buff until 3:34. lol

  • im sure this camera is better than the black rapid strap you had, however. it is not better than the black rapid sport. you shouldnt put down black rapid when you have only tried one of their products. not a single feature you mentioned about the "carryspeed" isnt in one of the black rapid models. not sayin this is a bad strap, but I would rather spend a little extra to get a black rapid strap which is well known and trusted so i wouldnt have to worry about any issues.

  • @3NICKK I don't really think he was saying Black Rapid sucks, because he was comparing the CarrySpeed to the Black Rapid strap HE owns, not every strap out there.

  • @TheTowelPaper Im just saying. Im a little disappointed that a new Company tried to put as many features into the strap by default and a bigger name, like Black Rapid is just recently releasing similar add ons. I think the black rapid quick release plate looks awesome, but I don't have a Manfrotto tripod, so it doesn't do a lot of good. Im not saying Blackrapid completely sucks( I did buy one after all) Im saying for the price and the functionality of the strap, it's a better strap than my RS-7.

  • This looks identical to the cheap chinese made "quick strap," the only difference appears to be the logo. "Made in the USA??" I'm suspicious.

  • You do realize that strap isnt used to keep the camer from falling in front of you, that is what that front bumper is for, along with keeping the camera in place when your walking. This is the same in the case of the black rapid strap also

  • where I can buy the cs1?

  • I just wish i could get this in the uk

  • really hard to fit in everything in a time span that is watchable.

  • I wish you would have been more balanced with the comparison.

  • btw, the snap hook slidable on strap design existed on 1885 carbine sling for over 100 years, so no way it is Black Rapid's invention.

  • I wonder if BlackRapid is going to file a lawsuit against CarrySpeed?

  • @zrsgamboa Black Rapid and Carry Speed are different design, Black Rapid's Patent is a strap, a snap hook, and snap hook connected direct to the nut mounted under the camera. Carry Speed use a offset design, it is a strap and a snap hook connected to the mounting plate, there are a nut help mounting plate stay under the camera, there is a extra tripod mount under the mut.

both 2 designs hang the camera up side down, but use different connection, so I don't think Carry Speed offended patent.

  • @TIMXU7704 Do a search for "quick strap" on ebay and you'll see exactly where carryspeed got their design--in fact I bet they just bought a bunch of them and changed the logo to say "made in the usa."

  • Nice job! You answered all of my questions and held my attention, which was quite a feat given that my connection was so slow only about 15 seconds would stream before the vid would have to load again.

My one concern is that the 150-pound test you mentioned does *not* seem strong to me at all. Unfortunately, I can't point you to any sources for comparisons at the moment, but I suggest you do a bit of research on the subject.

Overall, though, this is a great review!

  • @LanguorousLass Thank you. Well for the strength test, carry speed has a demo video of one of their members hanging from it. he says he weighs 160. I might have demonstrated this, but weighing 210 is a bit of a difference.

  • @LanguorousLass How is a 150lb test not considering "strong" when this strap is used to carry a camera? You're not using it to climb mountains. I use a Canon 7D with battery grip and a 28-300mm lens, and this strap easily supports the 20lbs lol. Unless you're planning on towing a jeep behind you this strap is very secure up to a 150 lbs. o_O
