It has to do with the fact that "Basil" is like a plant's name, and "Robyn" is like a bird's name... so their child should be both. "Holly" (plant) + "Jay" (bird) = Holly Jay. xD

Nah, your baby can pretty much take care of itself! The spouse leaves the house on a regular schedule, and you can leave the house at 6AM and not come back until midnight and the baby doesn't care. In fact, you're not even required to do the basic daily things like pick it up, feed it, play with it using the Rattle/Picture Book, or acknowledge its existence in general unless you want to raise its hearts. xD

The North American release was for the GameCube. The European release was for the Wii. Both versions are called "Harvest Moon: Magical Melody." The main difference is that the Wii version removed the option to play as a female character.

Yep, you can! It won't sleep in the crib by itself after learning to walk, instead wanting to show off its new skills and waddle around your house like a weirdo, but you can still pick it up and put it back in the crib, for example.

It doesn't have to be plain; it can be any style of big bed, as long as it is marked with an "(L)" for Large. ^^

I've started a game as a girl. How does the whole pregnancy thing work? Like, do you still have to work when you're pregnant and when the baby can't walk? Does the unwalking baby stay in bed all day as you work?

Walking or unwalking, the baby requires barely any care. You can leave it in the house as you go out and work. It can be fed, picked up, or played with once a day - but all of those things are just for raising hearts and are not even actually mandatory! During pregnancy, I've heard that your stamina will drain slightly faster, but in my opinion it usually doesn't make too much of a difference.

A-ha!! Finally SOMEONE else who thinks it's a bear (or at least something like one - yeah, I know koalas aren't really bears). I've always thought it was meant to look like a little blue teddy bear. But it appears that the generally accepted interpretation of it is mouse ears. ._. So yeah.

Random thought: We've got usamimi (bunny ears) and nekomimi (cat ears) in Japanese - so is there even a word for bear or mouse ears...? xD Kumamimi? Nezumimi?

Yep. There should be an option to "Import Audio/Music", wherre you can browse your music folder for songs to use in the video. The files will appear under your imported "Collection" and can be dragged into the project in the "Timeline" layout.

Well, WMM only accepts certain file formats, and iTunes songs have some dumb protection on them that won't allow you to use them for anything... (although that can be bypassed by ripping those songs onto a CD and then ripping it back to your computer, if you have the time for that). Do you have any .mp3 or .wma songs that you can use?

Uhhh... nooo... o_o; Not on screen; that would be... a not-E-rated game. ^^; You and your spouse sleep in the same bed but your baby is only implied to have entered the world because of MAGICAL love and care and compassion between two people. x3 That's the way things work in the Magical Melody world. You get to kiss at romantic festivals, but that's all. It's a very sweet and innocent relationship. ^^

I've been thinking it's a reference to the figure of speech "had me in stitches," which means it made you laugh hard... or something... =P Whatever it is, it's a Japanese thing I believe, because I've seen it in some manga and stuff I think... ^^;
