The leeches, herbs, spices, and resins common in medicine in the Middle Ages were also natural. Natural sounds good, but not everything in nature is safe or beneficial for humankind. A good quality video, and while Western medicine and science can be subverted by political policy, Eastern medicine has a tendency towards mysticism. The middle ground between the two interests me.
@otokonoyama Its true that natural does not equal good. It is a misconception to think that one medical system is more mystical than the other. In fact western medicine includes the religious beliefs of psycology. The middle ground suggests that they are equal and opposite. They are not. Chinese medicine is larger and vastly more comprehensive treatments. Western medicine is more specific, but has overly simplistic treatments. Diagnostic machines with TCM application is the future.
Damn, I want this DVD!
