  • Imagine being at a Motordrome race at night with five of these 8-valve Indians spitting flames pushing 100 MPH,.....and the lights go out,....its pitch black,.....30 seconds later the lights come back on,....this was common back in 1908-12

  • звук охуеный как на урале почти

  • What a beast!!

This thing is a rat rod bike!

  • @herbienbrian2 - NO it is absolutely not a rat rod by any stretch of the imagination. This is a purpose built racer - not a mix match of parts - ONE MAKER FORGED PARTS - recognize

  • Just can't get that sound with an electric bike ;)

  • Comment removed

  • I can listen this beauty the hole day

  • fire... fire everywhere.. <3

  • FUCK thats a cool bike!!

  • wow how do you not burn your legs???

  • how do you brake with one of these?

  • @SuperNick134 It's a board track bike, no brakes, just cut the throttle and coast to a stop :)

  • what a raw sound! I like that!

  • no fucking way this motorbike have 97 years and again OMFG

  • Nice piece of mechanics... pretty scary to drive. How many jeans did you have on fire?

  • My ears were begging for him to rev it up some more and let it sing.

  • superb

  • As soon as you open a passage to fresh air, you drop sound in the cylinder and immediately create a vacuum. Ever heard of anti reversion Harley port pipes. That's a pro reversion exhaust port job. As the intake valve opens, there is an immediate vacuum, those flaming ports let sound out early while still making exhaust speed out the pipes. I could watch it for hours.

  • How can he NOT be a specialist with a sweet sweet handlebar mustache like that? I bet that guy gets ridden daily. Mustache ridden...

  • i now understand why people go freakin nuts over these bikes!

  • Better than a Penthouse in the hands of a 13 year old boy! Awesome.

  • When men were men.

  • Damn does she sound good

  • Ooooohhh yeeeeahhh.....

  • sick!

  • Ride it around as hard as you dare until it runs out of juice .

Make a DVD of the action.

    This is motorcycle porn.

What 95 year old woman could ever arouse a biker as that raging beast of a bike does?

It is nearly a 100 years old and it is as mean as a chained lion.

I wonder what their security is like??

I think we should liberate it and take turns riding it through the Gotthard Tunnel & back. The roar would start avalanches on the surface & scare the shit out of everyone within 10 miles!

  • @NJPurling

    > This is motorcycle porn.

    Fully agreed, mate!!

    >I wonder what their security is like??

Security? Do You see any breakes on this bike? In times now, You can not win a race without well and exactly breaking the vehicle during the lap - but in 1915, times where different! In those times only the loosers did use breakes!

    :-)

  • Beautiful!

You should beware to not overheat those aircooled engines.

They need driving wind to be cooled!

Would be sad if You'd destroy this beautiful engine...

  • @SH1974

Do you really think this guy would destroy an engine like that?

Come on! This man is a specialist with these type of engines!

  • @hanekamp

I don't know for sure if he is the one with the knowledge -

or he is "just" the one with the property -

    sometimes the difference is massive...

I'm not a fully specialist, but I know: If I'd own such a thing, I'd not take the risk to overheat this beautiful engine! I'd invest a few hundeds $ to buy a strong fan wich simulates the driving wind.

Let's hope he is the one who really knows how to handle such a unique preserved beautiful piece of racing history.

  • Wooowww. Im impressed. Good filmed,no one in between camera and bike. Perfect shooting. nice sound-details and at last patina. :-)

  • ITS GOT PEDALS!

    INDIAN V TWIN MOPED!

    IM AWESTRUCK!

  • So, how is all that lubricated? It doesn't seem like there's oil anywhere, did I see that correctly? Wouldn't that mean that this engine is extremely vulnerable to seizure and things like sand you'd run into while driving it?

  • @Shupavin i believe u gotta mix fuel with oil before putting in in the gas tank ;D

  • now im deaf just from watching it beautiful

  • beautiful beast!

  • can anyone expain me how this works?? it isnt like a standard 4stroke is it?

  • Color me ignorant but blue flames coming out of the exhaust valve spells burnt valves in most but not all cases, not to mention OH YA!! Chest nuts roasting on an open fire OUCH!!!!. Is this normal for this beast, if it is I want one !!! :-)

  • @cowboy6591 mayby it runs on alcohol?

  • so cool

  • Man, your cigarette lighter sounds great.

  • brutal monster!

  • Now, take it for a spin..

    What a engine!

  • I have been a bike freak all my life. Owned at least 40, 6 presently, as a self employed machinist , I have never hit the big time financially, and if I won a mega million lottery, not that I buy tickets, and have little dreams about aquisitions, , a bike like this would be the first to search for. Lights? REG.,? Ins,? Talk to my lawyer !!!!! In all seriousness, God bless you for keeping this bit of history original and showing it to folks like me. Willy.

  • that is an iron lunged fire breathing beast

  • How many people that are 96 yrs old look or sound that good?

  • it looks likes your legs would catch on fire?

  • >0 dislikes

You damn straight. That's one evil sounding engine, if only HDs sounded like that.

  • Does not it get burnt on his foot?

  • at 5' 3" and 9 stone not to mention 60 years, hell its worth the risk, what a way to go

  • wow i was almost got a boner, im chocked!! love it!!

  • it was love at first sight

  • you can see the pistons moving as the bottom of the heads

  • This is amazing, I just ran across this today. Thanks for posting this up and please do not touch it (restore) it is perfect!

  • Awesome, awesome machine! But hey, those flames are a little close to the hairy boys, eh? Don't roast those nuts mate.

  • a symphony of sound, one of the most amazing things ive seen! totally awe inspiring machine! a rich tapestry of mans engineering dreams!

  • dats bad ass those fuckin blue flames

  • I'd imagine having no headers was very hard on the exhaust valves...

  • Thanks for posting,,I enjoyed your video of that awesome machine

  • A FIRE BREATHING MONSTER...Picture 120 mph, no brakes, wide open throttle, a exhaust choked wolfpack and a strong faith in God to see you through. NOW THAT WAS RACING ! ! !

  • That is awesome. That definitely goes in the category of hardcore bikes, since it has no clutch and no regular throttle. And of course, it has no brakes as well, because who needs those ;)

  • Very awesome ! I wonder why the holes are in the head like they are .insted of coming out of the pipes? still awesome

  • When Board Track Racing was at it's peak the guys who raced had about a 1 in 4 chance of leaving the track on a Stretcher.

It was a brutally dangerous sport when the tracks started to wear out and come apart.

Which they did after rains and a lot of races in a short period of time.

It amazing how many superb and innovative motorcycles came out of that era.

They were nearly works of art then, they surely are now.

  • Very nice movie!

  • Its an IOE engine, isn't it?

  • Fire breathingly awe inspiring!

  • what a bike! i wish i was on those times when men were men!!

  • so damn awesome :D

  • Excelent !

  • that thing is almost 100 years old and sound INSANE

  • this thing is a MONSTER!!!!! :D

  • We have totally lost touch of just how elemental a petrol engine can be. Wonderful to be reminded in this way.

  • OMG WOW ty for the trip into yesteryear :)

  • wow. I'd be afraid of driving this bike when there is fire coming out of every hole and every moving part of the engine is open.

  • thats the best thing ever !!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • If there was ever a bike that needed a stabilizer this would be it.

  • Sounds exactly like "me wife's" 1962 L-6 Chevy...firing on two cylinders.

  • careful the thing chewed it way clean out of hell and it wants to light you pants on fire!

  • whats it worth

  • I adore anything that goes fast AND MAKES SUCH A RACKET Iv'e seen/ heard them, but did they run on gasoline or methanol? thanx WIlly

  • What on earth? This looks like something Ace motorcycles would have built back in the day. I know I have never seen one of these before either.

  • Dont Dare to restore it , ITS BEAUTIFULL ( ik denk dat ik maar eens moet komen kijken , ik woon dichtbij:D)

  • Why did they have holes in the cylinders at the bottom( can see the pistons moving), and why it there blow out(flames) at the side of the cylinder head/valve area.

I know a lot about engines but have never seen this before, I just don't understand the purpose and cant think of one :)

Maybe the holes in the cylinder head is to bleed of backfires/unspent fuel ?

  • @quakermaas It's Satan's spawn !!!!!!

  • 100% awesome!

  • wow a real bike not none of this modern shit what an amazing machine

  • amazing thats love!

  • How do People get their hands on these old motorcycles!?

  • @IndianPrince3999 To get them, first thing you need to do ....... is get a million dollars....... then....

  • It may take a month for the goose bumps to go away...

  • I'd be afraid of the front freewheel though. If that ever blew you'd be in some bad shape, esp if it welded up.

  • Oh hell yeah, ride the wheels off it. Don't let it sit in museum. Now we have digital media, record the rides and sell it to raise money for more motorcycles to collect.

  • Beautiful bike Don't Restore it!

  • WOW I LOVE IT

  • that's a thing of beauty,would wanna watch where i'd put my leg though,hehe!

  • omg!!!

  • Amaizing!!

    Beautiful running !

  • WOW!!

    Incredible!!

    What a TREASURE!!

  • This is pornography !

awesome bike, lovely condition, and great music...

  • God, I LOVE internal combustion...

Call me stupid, but how did you ride this thing without getting your leg burnt off?

  • @Pamberjack did you ever get an answer? im wondering the same thing.

  • @itTAKESaWOLF I'm guessing that either (a) they had a guard over here that protected their legs, or (b) their riding position meant that their legs were out of the way...

  • They wore Leathers. and a leather helmet. That was it! Notice that there's No chain guard on primary drive either! It wasn't Lost, they Never Had any one! (save wtg.) As for the "slots" @ the bottom of the cylinder,... as the bottom of piston skirts stay

below (if above, would be for crankcase breathing) maybe cooling? Didn't build it. I'll look into it, and reply. Thanks all, for comments. -Cave

  • Lucky this guy did not go through the wall at 120 mph! Always chain your bike(vehicle) when on a dyno just in case it decides to take off on you. I wonder if my late model 450 KTM EXC will be around and still running in as many years to come!!!!!NOT.

  • that thing must have lot oil like a bitch with those strange exhost hols at the bottom.... great looking bike though! its relly cool!

  • The valves, are "air cooled". The flames are the gases coming through the valve stem. Hey it's 1915! That's how it was done back then.

  • @Caveman4860 did people actually ride that way, Can his pannts get caught in fire? Have they had a some kinda covering back then?

  • Prachtig,! Hou de komende dagen de leukste motorfiets website oliepeil.nl in de gaten. Daar zul je dit filmpje terug zien.

  • Very Cool!

  • I can't stop watching this... thank you.

  • Goh daar zou ik best wel een stukje mee willen rijden! Wat een ervaring lijkt me dat! 999,6cc op een rijwiel vergelijkbaar met een fiets. Wauw!

  • nothing cooler!

  • Was it good for you also? I think I'll have a cigarette and an after bliss drink...make that two drinks...le' sigh. No more than you absolutly need to go damned fast.

  • Awesome , what a find!! Great job getting it together , I cant believe how it sounds...Very Nice, Thanks for sharing..It looks like you have a great shop also..Dave

  • Wow, I have never seen an Indian like this one before. What an amazing engine! Are those ports at the bottom of the cylinder auxiliary exhaust ports? If not, what are they for?

  • @caterpillarnut there are holes drilled into the exhaust ports to aid in cooling

  • @CommercialVehicle Maybe useful for flame obsevation for setting mixture?

  • @schlusselmensch - thats also a possibility , reading the plugs are the best way to check for best mixture

  • Fantastic bike!!! Could someone explain why there are flames coming out of the top of the engine and exhaust? What is happening and what does this mean?

  • Wow - made my day seeing/hearing that :-)

  • A rare thing! Thanks for posting!

  • That was awesome.. Thanks for posting that. Next best thing to being there..
