  • i was wondering, whether there is a graphing calc app for the Pandora, can anyone tell me please.

I am kind of undecided, whether getting one is worth it, and a calculator would definitely get me to buy it.

  • @ArsonistInUrFirewall

There are several. First, there's gcalc and then there are several applications which emulate the most famous graphics calculators.

  • how do I setup the pandora files?

  • coll project mate!

  • open pandora IS OUT OMG I've been waiting forever

  • only thing it needs now is a snap dragon cpu @ 1.0 GHz

  • @isaisai9192 - Maybe for the next hardware revision, in a few years.

  • zeh icanz are smallur.

  • Lets see some Mame games running! Such as Killer Instinct 2 and NBA Showtime!

  • hey do you run games like nes, genesis etc by just loading a game or do you have to choose an emulator

  • sehr interessantes teil :D

endlich amiga&atari st in der hosentasche. wer hat eins und hat schon erfahrung mit??

  • I see it is more like Gnome-based

  • Can you install KDE 4.3 ? and get emulators

  • @and001921 - You could try, but with 256 MB of RAM, you'll have trouble running anything else while KDE is running.

  • i want to help but i just can visual basic, batch and html ;D

  • "Yeah, I know, killing's not nice, well but it works" Hahaha :)

  • what do you expect? he is german ;D

  • That took a minute to understand.

  • touch screen? or did he install that for the video

  • The Pandora does indeed have a touchscreen.

  • Comment removed

  • Yes, we will see

    -.-

  • it can run PC version of Quake 3 no where near as powerfull as Xbox 1. it can run N64 games at 60fps at a shit hot resolution far more powerfull than PSP.

  • ti runs the GNU/Linux port of the Quake games. like IOQ3, glquake etc etc..

  • N64 emulation hasn't been done yet.

It's likely, and the Pandora's definitely capable, but its not been done yet.

  • You're kidding right? If N64 emulation hasn't been done, then what the hell is Project64?

  • In terms of emulation of N64 games on the Pandora, there's quite a few in development.

  • He means on the Pandora, and 4 months ago there were no videos of it. Now there are some, and it's looking very promising :)

  • The entire project is very promising. The only thing holding it back is that it can't exactly emulate an x86 type environment so certain things might not be possible for quite some time.

  • no. there isnt any n64 emu yet.

  • how powerful is this

can you put in a n64 or ps1 emulator

  • PS1 is fullspeed and ready to go, but noone is working on a N64 emulator at the moment, but a playable emu is definently possible.

  • The original NullDC devs are also porting NullDC, but I don't really have high hopes for it.

  • It's comparable to the original Xbox.

  • Nope its not even near to first xbox performance .

  • Actually the xbox had a 733mhz PIII, 64 megs of ram, and a geforce mx440. (released eons ago)

While the chips are not directly comparable, I would be willing to bet that since the chips on the pandora have been optimized to do exactly what they are doing that performance will definitely be on the same level as the original xbox.

  • What about Scaledemo GUI ?

I think that looks more confortable for the screen

  • lol Mdave

  • I think I heard that there's a port of Ubuntu for ARM being put together. I wonder if that would work well for the OP? Though I'm happy no matter what! :) Yay, I want to get involved with the development of this thing!

  • It would be good if you're not interested in running games or anything that pushes the pandora

Ubuntu would slow it down, when compaing to angstrom

  • Maybe there's a middle ground, such as the MID remix of Ubuntu... I also was wondering about running Google Android. Yes, I know OP is NOT a phone, but maybe Android would be good there too.

Not to say Angstrom isn't good of course, I've used it a few times and really liked it. Just thinking about other options too, as I'm many already have.

    Cheers!

  • the G1, well i guess it depends on what you want to do with it. I guess g1 would be good for a really nice gui,

but you would probably need professional porting? Or is it a really adaptable OS

  • wow sehr cool

das OS schaut schon genial aus

  • Wait, when did you show Abiword?

I heard it on the forums as a lighter OOo replacement, but I don't remember a video demo. Guess I'll have to check that thread again.

  • GNOMETRIS!

    I LOVE THIS GAME!

I just started playing the other day on my laptop.

And it's already got a bunch of PDA stuff.

  • hehe... nett :D

  • "Just a small preview, nothing major"??? ED, this totally ROCKS!

  • Ja...gib alles ED! Endlich HD!

  • i love it

  • #2 <3333333 O P E N P A N D O R A
