Thank you for putting this video together. I stopped checking the forums or your site every week but I had a subscription to your channel, so it was really nice to see a video pop up showing some activity going on Cortex Command. Please do more of these, they would be most welcome.
I bought multiple $10 humble bundles for friends mainly because of Cortex Command, can't wait to see the final finished product! Keep up the good work.
Just wanted to say awesome video, I am new to programming so this is really cool to watch and has some great tips. Also I bought the game because it looks awesome.
I loved the video. Now, I'm not a C++ person, but I would have made m_ExpandedModules a pointer to a boolean array that could be initialized to an array sized precisely to the number of modules loaded. Would remove the module limit, and be more memory friendly.
Awesome video! It was great to see some of the stuff I am learning in my first programming classes now put in use in a larger, cooler project! Keep it up!
CAREFUL! Streaming random music is a sure way to get your video deleted on youtube, if the copyright holders invest in that. Consider streaming the music on a notebook and listening via headphones. Or make sure what you stream is not being aggressively protected :)
I'd prefer these videos with no music and instead a link at video start to what you were listening to (because I quite like this music.. :) )
@RandomA3500 Penal binding agreements by many purely. Then when we're cutting these circles an item paulson and which module modularity the extremists sumo extra legroom. Virtual crowther before now you know in terms of mud ladies yes.
For the last part of the video, as a game developer, I'm really interested if you don't mind to know how you can work at full time on this huge project?
I mean, how financially can you sustain the project? I guess I'm not wrong by saying the sales of the WIP is not enough no !?
I don't know a thing about game programming, but it's great to see you in my RSS feed. Bought your game months ago and I'm still playing it almost regularly - and that's BEFORE having a working singleplayer campaign mode!
My goodness. If you seen my code, you would rip my entrails out and strangle me to death with them. Zero comments, and if I can, I cram everyone on to the same line. After seeing this though, and how clean it looks, I'll have to change that!

This looks like visual studio 2008. Why not use 2010 edition?
mavrik090 3 weeks ago
@mavrik090 Cortex Command's development started long before VS2010 was released.

It might look nicer if instead of a plus/minus sign you changed the background colour of the button to a darker green.

So nice to see by continuing your speech, you are removing end-of-line whitespaces and check if this ocurred nearby. It's familiar situation.
Excuse my language. :)

As a game programmer this was really interesting to me. How your code is laid out is fascinating to me, and I liked listening to your "thoughts".
Firstly, your music is sleep inducing. No wonder you were yawning throughout! I prefer death metal when programming.
Secondly, it is a little long. Just the single hour next time please! :)
Keep up the great work.
