  • You say one should not wrry about the food shortage? Let me tell you we are headed for hyperinflation people need to stock up on food and water. The gas were i live went up to 415 a gallon and when gas goes up food prices goes up thats reality. Its comming is not fear mongering its real. They just blew that levee in mississippi river and flooded the farm land so our food prices will rise!! People need to prepare. Are water and land is being conntamated by radiation thats real?

  • I feel you on this. youtube has a bunch of drugged out weirdoes who want to have their 5 minutes of fame speaking on the next conspiracy theory.

  • @LouieArrighi No I don't think so. There are real people here on YT who care a great deal and have good information to share. I just want to see more ideas on how we can change all these things, or some of these things that we hear about all the time. Not scary things but active things. Old phase not used to much anymore called "pro active" we need to get back to that.

  • the news is nothing but bad news, they hardly ever talk about good news, and they are not a good source to get info, they just do not tell facts, and the ones who do tell truth like keith olbermann, get ripped for doing so, and the news never gets to the heart of the problem, that the rich are too powerful, and they get to keep too much

  • @whedonfreak976 I agree, things have changed where the rich have way too much power and we need to change that. My point is, lets change it, not try and scare people about what will happen if we don't. We can change things, we do change things. Look at the town hall meeting and Ryan's Plan. It's easy to find a problem and expand on how terrible it is, anyone with a little imagination can do that. Not so easy to find one step to take to try and change it.

  • @Boomer1949 that is what people keep forgetting no offense to the president, but it is the american people that bring change, not political figures, it is up to us, to take back our country from the top 1% who are sucking the poor dry

  • Good Rant about a "Syndrome" I suffer occasionally.: ) Following the News of Politics, Current Affairs, and World events can become a real weight on you over time. To the Right are the liars and hypocrites dismantling the country to offer it before the throne of wealth and power. To the Left are the inept and gutless who don't like what they see but don't have the Balls to stop it. I withdraw for a couple days and cleanse my psyche of the frenzy by ignoring it. Then, return RESTED AND

    REFRESHED.

  • @lstntn Thats kind of the idea. My plan of attack is to back off the computer earlier in the day. Do something, anything until dinner time, then kick back and listen to the radio or read a book until bed time. We'll see how well I can stick to this plan.

  • @Boomer1949 Theryago.. : ) I usually get to the point where I'm so worked up that I have to pull-back for 1 or 2 days. Hang with friends, or drag out some old albums, or read. NO TV (except for a movie), and NO NET at all. (If i go on-line I'll let myself be lured right back into the chaos) .. : )

  • I would really like to hear your dreams Boomer, and have a shot at interpreting them. I love my dreams even the bad ones and am a keen interpreter. It's always fascinated me how we transpose our questions and searches, our fears and desires and so forth into magical movies, to play out with full on special effects, in our quest for understanding and answers.

  • @matrixflower13 I'm a believer that only the person who has the dream can interpret them correctly. Ones worries or ideas are personal and come through in dreams that only make sense to that person. Like I said in the video, the older house means something to me personally, as in what does a house mean to me. It could mean security, roots, shelter, safety or it might just be a prop in the dream. Sometimes you can gain insight but sometimes its just a dream.

  • Agreed, boomer - I've been through much of the scare-mongering myself. Some concerns are more immediate for people, than long term concerns. But a lot of shit is happening. On a personal level, we can agree (it's a psychological survival thing, really). We will deal with it, when shit hits the fan. But on the other hand, we cannot stick our heads in the sand. The mass media is sensational, so I don't pay too much attention to it. On the other hand, I'm against rosy colored glasses.

  • @55ella2007k You sound so much like me it's funny. "on the other hand", that's so me. I know the problem but I can't seem to stay away, constant vigilance is my problem. I'm afraid they are going to pull a fast one when Im not paying attention, like Bush Jr !! I tell myself I have to "pick my battle" and ignore the rest...how in the world is that going to work when they work on every level? Maybe I need to take up boxing.

  • @Boomer1949 You've picked your battles well, boomer. The root of the problem is globalized financial capitalism run completely amok. Everything else is a symptom. So pick a symptom without forgetting the whole. The oligarchy DOES think about the whole far more frequently than we do. And yes, they are attacking on ALL fronts. These people are not dumb, on the contrary, they know exactly what they are doing. Which is not to say, that cleverness is a stand-in for intelligence.

  • Hey Boomer.

I have been going through the same thing this year.

It has been useful for me to talk it over with my friends and get some perspective from them. Remember computers are not a substitute for real human interaction, no matter how good the technology gets (skype ect) , it can't hug you.

  • @Yogsoggeth I hear ya. I've had a couple of losses recently too, so that lends to my dark mood and over load feelings. Getting out and visiting friends and family (my daughter is a champion huger) always makes me feel better. I was told by a friend who is a therapist that spending too much time in front of a computer can add to depression. Mind you this was back in the mid 90's, long before all the shit hitting the fan.

  • Good message Boom lady! :)

    -TEW

  • thanks for the reminder.. I'll try not to be such a downer about everything

  • And why we are at each others throats. We all need to deeply appreciate what we have right now, right now. :) Great video.

  • Land is getting cheaper because the housing market crashed. So that will mean more people can own their own home or business.

People are more in touch with their families and closer, and see who their friends really are.

People are awake and see who their government and what their country really is.

    People are building communities.

    Its not all bad.

  • @CMLovejoy Now that's what I'm talking about !!

I had my first bird couple singing to me this morning. They are building a nest in my siding again this year. I just don't have the heart to evict them. This after noon there were two squirrels playing in the yard, chasing one another...all signs of spring...yahoo!!
