  • what the fuck is with this muusic?

  • it looks better than any ps1 game

  • I know i know. I ment it's the same i know this was first from Ridge racer 2.

  • there is a full scale ridge racer in blackpool, and i was in blackpool 5 days ago, there is a ridge racer cabinet, a sitdown one with a clutch and gears, in another of the many arcades, not sure which one though

  • Why oh why doesn't this work in MAME yet? Vivanonno is great but MAME is much more configurable. Vivanonno doesn't emulate the lighting properly either.

  • Man, the driver of the yellow car behind you must have gotten frustrated, being blocked a hundred times. ; D

  • WORK IT YOU GOT COAL ON MY M&M, WORK IT YOU GOT COAL ON MY M&M, WORK IT BITCH NOW!

  • RIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDGGGGGGGGGGGGGGEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE RRRRRRRRRRRRAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAACEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEERRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR TWOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO !!!!! :D

  • fucking yellow car. it's like that annoying ginger kid you just wanna slap silly.

  • how did you get a different car?

  • dude youre handling is really gr8

  • This Is The Expert Stage From Ridge Racer 64

  • @mariofan96 No. The Expert Stage from Ridge Racer 64 is the Expert Stage from Ridge Racer.

  • Did you know that you could drive the wrong way on this course?

  • I remember playing this at blackpool. couldn't really tell what was different from the first game, but for some reason it was forced into 2 player.

  • same here, it was in the first arcade on one of the piers.

  • God, blackpool. It's like the ghosts of arcades past or something. one armed bandits everywhere, a few knackered old racing games, and a sega arcade monitor half hidden behind a claw machine in the corner.

    Depressing.

  • @richardmaudsley77 You're from Blackpool? Well, me too. Anyway, there are no longer any other Ridge Racer arcade machines in Blackpool anymore, bar the full-scale one at the Blackpool Pleasure Beach.

    Wow, really?

Ridge Racer really has been beaten out of the U.K., that's sad. I remember it being in Coral Island.

  • @BAlOHAZADO St. Helens actually, but not far away.

The full scale one is still there? can you tell me a bit more specific which one it's in?

I remember it, but I only found it twice. First time it was near perfect, second time, the interior of the car was stripped leaving only some random seats.

I want to at least give it one last go.

  • @richardmaudsley77 It is the Full-Scale one. It's in kinda' poo condition, but, other than that, the accelorator works perfectly fine now! Well, atleast, it did last year in May. I doubt they would have removed it, that thing is HUGE! Oh man, well. It's down to £1 a go, which is actually decent for something like that.

The Full Scale Ridge Racer is in Blackpool Pleasure Beach. It is the arcade with the Japanese Dance Dance Revolution. It's near some stairs and toilets, my memory is bad!

  • @BAlOHAZADO Ran out of characters. It is in a little corner of its own, you really can't miss it. It's a full-scale car and you occasionally hear "RIIIIIIIIDGE RACER!"

  • @BAlOHAZADO I'll check it out in the summer. Thanks.

  • @richardmaudsley77 Hey, no problem. I can't wait until I save up some money myself so I can go!

  • Gotta love that that yellow car, huh?

  • 上級モードをやろうとしたら、即リタイアになってしまった。

    なぜなら、あんまり下手すぎてぶつかりまくっていたからだ。

    それにしても、運転上手いですね。

  • i had this shit for ps2

  • Also, the PSP game is different still.

Notice the PSP game is called 'Ridge Racers 2'

    not 'Ridge Racer 2'.

  • Well, Ridge Racers 2 was the original project name, but was later replaced with the original name (RR2, not RRs2)

  • Ridge Racer 2 (Arcade) and Ridge Racer Revolution (PS1) are completely different games.

  • No no, same game, just named differently. When RR4 came out, Namco released a 60FPS version of that game you just watched. I forget if it was called "high speed demo" or something.

  • WUT KUNTROLL!!!

  • why is the psp version also ridge racer 2?

    is it just a remake?

  • I dont think so, but its rare that this game was never released outside of europe

  • awesome gameee

  • Wow, the yellow car's AI is a nightmare in this game...especially at 2:46, 3:08 - AND at 3:56! I'm just glad you were able to keep him under control. I've never seen an AI so cheap as that yellow car in any arcade game (though I've never played any Ridge Racer game until 1996). Keep up the good work.

  • What's the name of this techno song

  • Drive u 2 dancing

  • funny techno

  • thanks for all the great arcade footage!

  • check that last comment, it was mortal kombat XD

this ridge racer music - best racing music ever!

  • there was a remix of this music, anyone know what it's called?

  • i had this on an old ps1 demo disc, this was the best music on any of the ridge racer games. really gets you hyped up

  • i used to be able to do the construction site turns at top speed and without drifting :)

well all except that one U-turn they slapped in there.

  • It's running on an emulator you can play it on your pc. It seems to have some errors though like cars drawn half way through the road. And I think the twitchy steering is a result of using the keyboard keys rather than an anolgue steering wheel.

  • suck dude' :))))))

  • why is the car always turning left?

  • i still don't get what the difference is between RR1 and 2...

  • two player cabinet, different music and commentry, graphics changed from day to night.

  • ah ok. ya i loved the music so i knew the musics was changed, but I just didn't know what else lol

i didn't know RR1 was strictly a 1-player machine... but then again I never really thought about it. thanx for clearing that up.

  • @aj0049 Few new tracks, different car abilities, and the ability to link up to 4 ridge racer 2 arcade machines. So yes, up to 8 people can play

  • @DDRFreak410 And the music as well.

  • @aj0049 The only difference that I notice between the 2 is just the music. The home version of this one would be RRR which has a different track and different music to the first one..

  • glad the PS1 version is not that hard unlike this arcade version that Yellow Car is annoying

    Ridge Racer Revolution>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>Racer Racer 2

  • I had this game on PS1, i think my best lap was just under 1 min..

  • im hack speed

  • This is Seaside Route, my favorite

  • Man he amazing you can't do that in ridge racer 3. but have any of you completed the reverse expert version on ridge racer 3 because I have plus if this guy ever goes ridge racer 2 on psp then I challenge him to a race, just send another message if you're interested....

  • Bout time I saw vids of this!

  • Do Souledge & Souledge Ver.II.

  • hehe yah it was almost impossible to win first place.. due to the computer cars being way faster then you.

  • u used the vivanonno emulator rite?

  • but actually there is a home version for ps1,but only different and it is called ridge racer revolution and they use the cars from this game to edit their speed, acceleration, handling and grip and bonus cars can be unlocked as i hav one

  • It isn't properly correct. "Ridge Racer Revolution" for PS1 has identic cars and musics (BGM) from "Ridge Racer 2 AC" but the circuits are completely different.

  • it's not different but if u link it with another ps1 it will have the two courses from here

  • It is vastly different, i used to have RRR on the playstation years ago. Its not like RR2 on the arcade at all, apart from the fact its a Ridge Racer game from the same era.

  • thats true gunboss, i've tried that back in the 90's lol

  • Yes I used Vivanonno emulator
