Definitely sounds like Sid to me. I cringed when he kept asking him to sing My Way. Don't think they were trying to provoke him though, I just took it as them being incredibly naïve.

If someone asks if he's coming up for a party "On June 17th..." it can't be between July and September. It certainly sounds like Sid in any case. Chilling really if you ask me.

It's 100% real. The telephone call was recorded on a portable cassette player held up to the receiver. If I remember a recent article correctly, one fella is on one phone recording it (you can hear him talking loud and clear at the 1:10 mark) and the person who made the call is on another phone in the house.

Also, the voice is unmistakably Sid and no one could impersonate his voice to such an accurate level.

Reminds me of when i use to record a lot of people school friends and stuff putting a mic to the phone and the voices would come through the radio cassette as i recorded. I lost all my old tape recordings in a move that upset me a lot!
