  • One reason why I can't back Mike over Ron is this whole "Gun control" thing. I also don't think we can talk about Universal healthcare until we do something about this 9 trillion dollar debt issue. Once he proposes a plan to fix that, then we can talk about the great wonders of universal healthcare all we want. Overall, I like Mike Gravel alot, mainly because he's damn good at exposing the other canidates for being liars, but I have to stick with Ron Paul.

  • Well, I don't exactly want to picture him winning. I want the best candidate with the best interest on us and the country win, but the way people may vote is based on too many things for that to be the it's really done. I can't say and don't know exactly who is the best candidate for 2008 is, but I will try my best to find out. Proper knowledge is the key to the proper choice.

Most states will not let you vote for a candidate in the Democratic or Republican party unless you are a registered Dem or Rep. Whichever party your favorite candidate is, register for that party as soon as possible. Time is running out.

  • I hadn't heard of Mike Gravel for the longest time, only but a few days ago did I see some videos of his. I really like him. I've been a Ron Paul supporter all the time thinking he was the only one standing up for freedom but i'm glad to see there's another one. I hope Mike Gravel gets a big boost and some momentum going, and same with Ron Paul, so that people will learn about the truth and it will send a message to politicians.

  • I'm sorry I can't follow any of you, first, petrusprimus, when is it that we should say it is cold-blooded murder as opposed to getting rid of a few cells. In many cases the baby killed is made up of fewer cells than come off of a persons body naturally every day. Cells are living things too and when we itch we kill them, is that murder? On the other hand it seems theguruofreason has absolutly no understanding of God or religion whatsoever. It seems both of you have a lot of research to do.

  • I've done quite a bit of research on religion: read the bible, gone to church services, talked to people about their religion, taken world mythology classes, talked to friends who'd been through Christian schools, etc. So I'm confused as to how I've made comments which suggest that I don't understand religion.   • That is the only thing I don't believe in, abortion. Mike Gravel is pro choice, he doesn't feel like he has the right to dictate what American women can or cannot do. It is the people's choice in his opinion. I agree with him, though I am very much against abortion. He at least is telling us to make laws and stand up for what we believe.

  • thats ridiculous - no one makes light of having an abortion - Its just common sense that if people have kids when they can't really take care of them, the kid won't properly be taken care of. If the kid isn't properly taken care of, its more likely to turn towards crime. No ones forcing anyone to have an abortion - if you don't like abortion - you don't have to have one.
