One reason why I can't back Mike over Ron is this whole "Gun control" thing. I also don't think we can talk about Universal healthcare until we do something about this 9 trillion dollar debt issue. Once he proposes a plan to fix that, then we can talk about the great wonders of universal healthcare all we want. Overall, I like Mike Gravel alot, mainly because he's damn good at exposing the other canidates for being liars, but I have to stick with Ron Paul.

Well, I don't exactly want to picture him winning. I want the best candidate with the best interest on us and the country win, but the way people may vote is based on too many things for that to be the it's really done. those who do not know thier history are condemned to repeat it. What Americans pay in income tax goes to cover our foreign policy. Do you like spending 25% of your earnings for protecting the elite's worldwide empire building? I like Mike Gravel but Ron Paul wants to bring ALL of our troops home from everywhere. We're a bankrupt nation and we can't afford our ridiculous foreign policy!

This candidate gave a good reason not to vote as he is not a friend to either party and made enemies. In politics, there has to be collaboration or no body gets anything done and the next 4 to 8 years would be a waste. He is a good politician, but in my opinion, he will not make it in the white house with the enemies that he had already made.

Actually he is comparing them because they were both wars where the US faced an endless insurgency in a country the us didn't even have any business invading to begin with.

And I would rather have someone who sacrificed his political career doing the right thing than some corrupt puppet who plays dodge the question.

Well it matters when you vote in the primaries! That is why I am asking. Most states will not let you vote for a candidate in the Democratic or Republican party unless you are a registered Dem or Rep. Whichever party your favorite candidate is, register for that party as soon as possible. Time is running out.

I hadn't heard of Mike Gravel for the longest time, only but a few days ago did I see some videos of his. I really like him. I've been a Ron Paul supporter all the time thinking he was the only one standing up for freedom but i'm glad to see there's another one. I hope Mike Gravel gets a big boost and some momentum going, and same with Ron Paul, so that people will learn about the truth and it will send a message to politicians.

Most worship the God of choice. Life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness are meaningless when you allow a baby to be slaughtered in cold blood through 9 months of pregnancy. The Chinese actually get off on it as they consider fetal tissue soup a delicious dish and serve it in their finest restaurants. Americans, for the most part, don't trust God; they worship themselves.

I'm not even going to try to argue with a religious person. Despite that, you still don't give a good answer as to why abortion is legal in the states. In addition, most Americans will submit to a belief in a personal god, as well as the belief that the universe in 10,000 years old. Most Americans, it seems, do trust God, even above common sense.

Dude, where is your grounding in reality? Roe v Wade followed a movement to legally contracept and "neatly" get rid of the "burden" that was keeping women from staying in the workforce. They WANTED to be in the workforce. Now because of that same irresponsibility (look at our CC debt and failure to vote for honest candidates like Ron Paul)they practically HAVE to work for a time
since Americans like the monopoly money they are now enslaved to. 10,000 years? We don't think beyond tommorrow.

I'm sorry I can't follow any of you, first, petrusprimus, when is it that we should say it is cold-blooded murder as opposed to getting rid of a few cells. In many cases the baby killed is made up of fewer cells than come off of a persons body naturally every day. Cells are living things too and when we itch we kill them, is that murder? On the other hand it seems theguruofreason has absolutly no understanding of God or religion whatsoever. It seems both of you have a lot of research to do.

I've done quite a bit of research on religion: read the bible, gone to church services, talked to people about their religion, taken world mythology classes, talked to friends who'd been through Christian schools, etc. So I'm confused as to how I've made comments which suggest that I don't understand religion. Could you elaborate so that I can refine my knowledge?

That is the only thing I don't believe in, abortion. Mike Gravel is pro choice, he doesn't feel like he has the right to dictate what American women can or cannot do. It is the people's choice in his opinion. I agree with him, though I am very much against abortion. He at least is telling us to make laws and stand up for what we believe.

thats ridiculous - no one makes light of having an abortion - Its just common sense that if people have kids when they can't really take care of them, the kid won't properly be taken care of. If the kid isn't properly taken care of, its more likely to turn towards crime. No ones forcing anyone to have an abortion - if you don't like abortion - you don't have to have one.

Every cell has the potential for life - every time a man masturbates hes causing a holocaust. If he doesn't masturbate, he pees those sperm out. Every time you itch your nose you're wiping out tons of cells that the potential for life.

Having kids you don't want or cant support doesnt necessarily make them future criminals.Secondly willfully ending a life is not even comparable to a guy jerking off.
