  • laws about busking vary based on where your are, in the states thats a fairly common thing. I've actualy been fined for playing out on the street

  • That is a travesty that the "security guard" somehow decided in a unilateral fashion that music could not be played in front of the Opera House. I mean... is that even TRUE? Or was the guard simply trying to find a way to impose (the illusion) that he had control over anything at all?

Stupid. It takes zero talent to interrupt the piece. It also takes just a LITTLE patience to have let Mr. Rose COMPLETE THE GODDAMN PIECE...

...and *then* berate him like an impotent knob.

  • The whole thing was so intense. I marvel at the playing, of course, as it is always an experience to see this violinist perform. The second layer is his handling of the security guard. It really had me on the edge of my seat--I played it a few times trying to hear all of the dialogue. He has indeed clarified that you can't play music at the Sydney Opera House. Love it! E. Lynch

  • What?! You cannot play music in front of the opera house? I thought this was a larrikin country!

  • LOl police state ......i would have fly kicked that security guard
