It's interesting: guys like Johnny Pearson probably never saw one play of an NFL game; yet their music has helped define how we've watched and understood the legendary moments of the best sport in the world for generations.
@marquettefootball Indeed. And given how effective it is with the 1967 Spiderman cartoon, it bears repeating - from Marvel Comics' Peter Parker to the Houston Oilers Pete Beathard, this music fits.
I remember a YouTube commenter asking about the AFL on NBC 1967 theme, and he described it as a song that seems a lot like this. Was this the song, or did someone ever figure out what it is?
In 1962, the Packers win 13 games and lose only 1. The championship game is a rematch with the Giants at New York's Yankee Stadium. The Giants, anxious to avenge their humiliation of the previous year, are aroused, but Lombardi cannot be stopped.
"Run to win...now only the Cowboys stood between Lombardi and his three-year quest." and "...forcing Unitas to run....right into Big Ben Davidson's left foot."
"On a cold & windy 'day after Christmas' in Baltimore, the AFC's Eastern Division Champion Baltimore Colts & their rookie coach were to begin their first postseason game since that black day in Miami two years before." - 1970 Baltimore Colts highlights (Norm Bulaich!)

@marquettefootball No, but it was a track that was also used in the 1968 Lombardi special, a line from which I quoted below.

I can only see Spiderman swinging from building to building on the way to a zoo to stop a rampaging Gorilla.

@1aundulxaldin Same here. It was in that episode of Spider-Man that I first heard this song, over forty years ago.

Used also in the 60's Spiderman cartoon series. Worked great to sight of spidey swinging from the rooftops!
