@jvmaniac They used the third take. They attempted a fourth, but the Stedicam operator was unable to finish it.

My granddad was one of the last northern irish men off the beach, had to steal a dead english mans uniform coz they had stopped letting men with shamrocks on the boats, must have been an unbelievable sight

Scratch that, some set pieces were CGI'ed in, but CGI wasn't used to lenghthen the shot.

This is definitely not the longest take ever, but it is one of the most effective and beautiful. And no fakes or CGI.
I'm pretty sure there's a few cheats in this shot but regardless, this was brilliantly designed and orchestrated. Five stars.

One of the longest shot I have ever seen. The longest one has to be in the 《Before Sunset》. I wonder if those horses are really dead.

The director said that those are like horses from the circus that fake death... they rest in the ground for a while.
