Try cleaning the disc. If not, there is nothing else you can do about. I would suggest contacting Nintendo and fixing the issue but even them might reject and you may have to buy a new version of the game!

I get that error whenever i used my homemade hack disk. It was supposed to install homebrew but instead i got that :/. Something is probaly wrong with your disk or it has unauthorized software on the disk. Insert into your cpu and delete weird files. Dont be worried if it wont eject from the cpu just do a hard reboot and remove it in process of showing the logo from the company whom made it

hey i had the same problem last night it was only able to read gamecube games not wii games my wife and i tried for an hour or so and then she came up with a solution i always had my wii standing up she told me to lay it down and try it and what you know the damn thing works so if any of you having the same problem try laying it down to so if it fixes the problem

Is that brand new if it is take it back to the store because someone may have accidentally gotten a magnet near the box or something- if it's an old game that has high milage, that would explain the disk error, especially if the game has been glitching up or freezing a lot lately. If it suddenly stopped working for no reason, try another game. If it's just that one game, clean the disk first.

rub the back of the Wii Disc with Alcohol. Oh and hold the middle part of disc and that wont happen so offen. It helps me oh and keep the CDs in their cases, i keep minez out of the Case and into a pile so i can just look threw the CD and pick it out quickly.

And one day i went to look for my Games and they where under my bed with dust all over them so i stood there and whipped them all with alcohol for 4hrs(38 games all together.

this happens to me too but it shows the wii game then i hit start and after a little while it says an "error has occurred.

press the eject button,remove the game disc,and turn the power off.

Hmmm that happens to me too but with ALL of my Wii games. All I do is eject it and replace it inside lol. And if it doesn't work, I just keep trying =\. Usually it works the 2nd-3rd time around.

Well, again, the problem was with my game, not the Wii. I simply called Nintendo. They had me send my game to them (prepaid) and they sent me a working copy.

and they say microsoft is bad.. I've had more trouble with nintendos systems than I did with my 360 what the hell? My 360 works fine still and my gamecube and my wii are both broken. Because they both failto read the discs and the discs are clean.
