  • Sounds like Quagmire was the pilot.

  • Not sure what is meant by Quagmire?? Enlighten me.

  • @theace1958 "Quagmire" is the name of a character from the show "Family Guy". He is a pilot and in one particular episode he addresses the passengers over the PA and uses a very effected "pilots" voice that is instantly recognizable. In the same way I suppose that most people who pick up a microphone all of a sudden develop a transatlantic accent for no apparent reason. So it was just a reference to an episode of "Family Guy".

  • Ahh, I havent watched that show but I hear it is cool.

  • Ahh, I havent watched that show but I hear it is cool.

  • I noticed something cool in your video. At about 2:22 there are two white buildings that appear under the wing. That's Lime Kiln, I lived there for 8 months while attending a med school :D. So sad that I'm done with the island now, it was a great experience! So this video brough back tons of memories, even thought I was there not even a week ago, thanks!

  • Can't wait to hear that again...."Welcome to St. Kitts"

  • thanks for this video

  • Hi, thanks for your comment. I am coming back to St. Kitts this year. Just loved it in February.

  • Excellent Video there isn't much of the TKPK Landings on You tube! Thank you for posting!

  • Hi, thanks for your comment. I cant wait to come back next year...

  • there is no VOR approach in to St.Kitts just NDB and NDB Alpha

  • Sorry about that, I do not possess plates for TKPK, I just assumed a VOR approach or at least an 8 mile visual. Sure was not a CAT III approach.

  • thanks for replying and thanks for posting this video. I think i was in the tower when flight came in.

  • Hi , wow thats awesome. Id love to be in your tower!

  • I live in SK and at TKPK the visual approach is the choice for most pilots familiar to the area. even the dash8's d6's and atr's that operate regionally are known to take final approaches similar to those of cessnas and STOL aircrafts! it's a something to admire. pilots really do earn their month's pay in the Caribbean! no ILS to sleep on. lol.

  • Hi, thanks for your comment! Have you seen the British Airways 777 yet? I would love to see that land and takeoff at Bradshaw Intl.

  • Yeah the BA777 - What a beautiful aircraft. For the inaugural flight me and my buddies waited 4 hours (it was delayed 4hrs) just to see it come in. By that time out photo and video equipment weren't up to the task of low light so sorry - no footage. We've seen it a few times after then and it's a beauty. AMAZING how quiet its engines are. Sitting on the taxiway in idle you cant hear it from 200m away. Jjust as when it's landing the most you hear are the tires kissing the runway! lol

  • I was taking off from St. Kitts just this past Saturday, and 777 landed there! It was so awesome to see that, it just towered over all the other planes! :D

  • Wow thats awesome. I hope it still flys to Bradshaw next February when I plan to return.

  • I'm sure they will be, just gotta know what time they arrive.

Are you going there for vacation or do you work/live there?

  • Just for vacation from a cold winter country lol I really have found St. Kitts and Nevis to be a place I will always come back to. Florida and Mexico just dont do it.

  • And speaking of 777, check out this video watch?v=FwDwscvvJj8&NR=1

It's 777 landing in SKB in January of this year!
