  • beat that ENIAC

  • nice !

  • for the number 27, at 02:28,

your camera went the wrong way, for reading out a binary number.

(reading binary digits is similar to decimal digits)

  • I was randomly going through Knex videos and i see this video, i thought it was going to be something really stupid like most knex inventions that are on the internet. the first words out of my mouth when i saw it were "HOLY S#IT !"

  • You read binary from right to left

  • Now all you need is a convenient little method of kicking down all the numbers into that nifty answer bar.

  • FAKE AND GAY!

  • @GamerDutch Your face is.

  • @GamerDutch

why do you fuckers always assume anything that you cant do is fake, and then associate it with homosexuality just to show that you're too cool to do it for yourself, while in reality you can't do it probably because you don't have the mental capacity?

  • why not just use a calculator

  • it's like a Leonardo Da Vinci's invention

  • I think I sort of understand how it works. It's basically just a bunch of flip-flop logic gates, right?

  • Can we have instructions?

  • i get it

  • anyone who trolls is just jelous.

  • @o0oDAVEYo0o SO TRUE

  • This is a really cool machine, helped me understand a simple way that a computer can use binary to count!

  • You're such a geek.... I love it!!! :D

  • i have no better understanding of binary then i did before... lol

  • @MoneyAndPeople Give you the simplest answer: our number system is based off 10's (1,10,100,1000 etc) binary is based off of the number 2 (2,4,8,16,32,64 etc) Otherwise its the same, even how you write it. The 0's and 1's are the only 2 digits that can fit in each place, unlike 1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8,9,0 for our system.

  • Make a bar running down it to open all gates at once

  • Have you built that on your weekends? Or were you just bored? ;)

  • Black Keys, MUCH BETTER

  • didnt u say u wun make it anymore in ur pervious binary thingy vid

  • Are you God?

  • i hear since your last video that your balls have dropped

  • really well made video. and your voice changed

after forgetting binary in two years I just remembered. Thanks

  • so if i get it right this calculator just give u the Binary number?? when i am right its nicely done ^^

  • It's impressive but I don't get it don't you still have to find the sum because the golf

balls are rolling into to the same number slots as they started in.

  • Overall great, except for one major flaw: It's backwards. The 1 column should be all the way to the right and the 256 column should be on the left. As it is set up right now, when you get a result of 11 (what you call 3) is actually 110000000 (which is 384). An answer of 3 should not be 110000000, it should be 000000011. The tallest tower has to be on the right and the shortest on the left. basically turn it around and put the stickers on the other side in the right places and you're set.

  • Yay binary!

  • :D

Nice. Not too many people can manage this sort of thing. Wonderful!

  • Very awesome. And you're voice changed, LOL

  • This is the final straw.

    I'm subscribing.

  • You sir, just teached me binary!

  • I may be wrong, but shouldn't the ones place be on the left and increase going right? Like in base 10, where it starts at the 100s (or whatever) place then 10s then 1s. So 5 is 00000101 in an 8 bit machine. Correct me if I am wrong.

  • @MatielMigite I am not sure exactly... I am pretty sure that's right. I should just have put the labels on the other side. haha

  • @Mozilla2012

Exactly. Just for next time. XD

  • @MatielMigite Yer least significant on right, most on left, same with any base

  • @MatielMigite correct, a binary number can be translated into 128 - 64 - 32 - 16 - 8 - 4 - 2 - 1 the only thing you have to do is to add up all the numbers where it says 1 and you are done :)

  • This is by all means awesome i sure it was fun building but not so fun taking it apart lol.

  • @dukes20084 That is entirely true.

  • @Mozilla2012 yea thats why when i build something big i leave stay up for awhile i untill i know wat my next creation is lol.

  • @dukes20084 It took up half of my bedroom, so it had to go. haha

  • @Mozilla2012 yea i can understand that :)

  • ah, much better than the first. however i must add that you should try adding a manual release for ALL of the bars instead of having to flip them individually.

  • @quellek2 I did on the original, but I took it down before I could film it in order to make the Rube Goldberg.
