I was randomly going through Knex videos and i see this video, i thought it was going to be something really stupid like most knex inventions that are on the internet. the first words out of my mouth when i saw it were "HOLY S#IT !"
why do you fuckers always assume anything that you cant do is fake, and then associate it with homosexuality just to show that you're too cool to do it for yourself, while in reality you can't do it probably because you don't have the mental capacity?
@MoneyAndPeople Give you the simplest answer: our number system is based off 10's (1,10,100,1000 etc) binary is based off of the number 2 (2,4,8,16,32,64 etc) Otherwise its the same, even how you write it. The 0's and 1's are the only 2 digits that can fit in each place, unlike 1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8,9,0 for our system.
Overall great, except for one major flaw: It's backwards. The 1 column should be all the way to the right and the 256 column should be on the left. As it is set up right now, when you get a result of 11 (what you call 3) is actually 110000000 (which is 384). An answer of 3 should not be 110000000, it should be 000000011. The tallest tower has to be on the right and the shortest on the left. basically turn it around and put the stickers on the other side in the right places and you're set.
I may be wrong, but shouldn't the ones place be on the left and increase going right? Like in base 10, where it starts at the 100s (or whatever) place then 10s then 1s. So 5 is 00000101 in an 8 bit machine. Correct me if I am wrong.
@MatielMigite correct, a binary number can be translated into 128 - 64 - 32 - 16 - 8 - 4 - 2 - 1 the only thing you have to do is to add up all the numbers where it says 1 and you are done :)
ah, much better than the first. however i must add that you should try adding a manual release for ALL of the bars instead of having to flip them individually.

for the number 27, at 02:28,
your camera went the wrong way, for reading out a binary number.
(reading binary digits is similar to decimal digits)

You read binary from right to left

Now all you need is a convenient little method of kicking down all the numbers into that nifty answer bar.

I think I sort of understand how it works. It's basically just a bunch of flip-flop logic gates, right?

so if i get it right this calculator just give u the Binary number?? when i am right its nicely done ^^

It's impressive but I don't get it don't you still have to find the sum because the golf
balls are rolling into to the same number slots as they started in.
