Get 2 females, they usually get along very well. And its a myth that 2 male hamsters cant be in the same cage, there are those who get pissed off and fight, but many dont.

@iLuvManghos u get a seperate cage/tank put the cage/tank next to the other 1 and keep them there for bout an hour and then u can put them in the same cage/tank

@latinokid23 well im not Dere, but i mayhelp you. a hamster around 9 moth will may not go so well. but who knows. maybe. it's is best if you put a bit of galss betwen them before and see what the do in same cage

@SummerBeachxo They have sorted petsmarts, blue line under the logo is a male petsmart, and the one with no line is a female petsmart. Except, I used to think it had both genders in sorted male and female tanks like the Petco store.

thats wrong information. I have had all types of rodents as pets for years. Unless you definatly want want a litter of rodents NEVER EVER put males and females together. Keeping male and female together will just ensure the female gets pregnant right after giving birth which isnt good for her. I cant stand people giving out wrong information. Rodents can have 10-15 or 20 babies each time if they are young. With dwarf hamsters just get 2 of the same gender to start out with.

Syrian hamsters should never be kept in the same cage. You should have stated that this only goes for Dwarf hamsters.

@JujixFruit my syrian hamsters get along really well not one fight and they sleep in the same nest with each other too.
